Spotify podcaster Joe Rogan said he would vote for former President Donald Trump in the 2024 election over President Joe Biden, because it’s “insane” how much he is “deteriorating” while holding the nation’s highest office.
Rogan spoke to stand-up comedian and political commentator Dave Smith about Biden’s mental decline on Wednesday’s episode of his eponymous show. He cited the President’s call to remove Russian President Vladimir Putin from power in March as an example of how “dangerous” he is in office.
“For God’s sake, this man cannot remain in power,” Biden said during a speech in Poland.
The White House downplayed his statement 45 minutes later. “The president’s point was that Putin cannot be allowed to exercise power over his neighbors or the region,” the official remarked. “He was not discussing Putin’s power in Russia, or regime change.”
But Biden doubled-down on his message days later. “I am not walking anything back,” he said to the press. “I was expressing the moral outrage that I feel, and I make no apologies for it.”
“I just was expressing my outrage,” the President continued. “He shouldn’t remain in power — just like, you know, bad people shouldn’t continue to do bad things.”
“You go, ‘Dude, you can’t just say that the policy is to overthrow Vladimir Putin… That’s, like, a huge thing to say,” Rogan said on Wednesday.
“And then they come out and they go, ‘The White House issued a statement that their policy has not changed.’ And you’re like, ‘Who’s the White House? Who? Is it the chief of staff?” he questioned. “Is it the vice president? Is it his wife? Who’s the White House? He’s the head of the White House.”
“That’s why having a guy like him in office is f***ing dangerous,” Rogan concluded. “But that’s legitimately dangerous, man.”
Rogan said the obvious mental decline is the reason he “can’t vote for Biden,” in the upcoming election.
“‘Like I’d vote for [former President Donald] Trump before I’d vote for Biden,’” he asserted. “And the reason being is like you knew this. You knew he was deteriorating. Forget about his policies when he was lucid. I mean he was lucid during the Obama administration.”
“You barely heard from him,” Rogan continued. “See, regardless of what you think about his policies, like as a human, that’s in a position of extreme stress and power. That’s nuts … that’s insane. He’s so far gone.”
On the liberal side of the media, “The View” co-host Whoopi Goldberg defended Biden for forgetting that a politician was deceased while speaking during a White House event on Wednesday.
“I want to thank all of you here … including bipartisan elected officials like Senator Braun, Senator Booker, Representative … Jackie, are you here? Where’s Jackie?” he called out. “I think she was going to be here to help make this a reality.”
Indiana Congresswoman Jackie Walorski and a pair of her aides were killed in a head-on collision in August. Goldberg was quick to come to Biden’s defense the next day.
“You know, my gosh, c’mon, you can’t go after him for, you know, not giving aid to Florida, or not tackling the infrastructure, and he’s given aid to Ukraine, and so you can’t go after him for that!” She sympathized. “But you can go after him for forgetting that someone has passed!
“I mean, and she passed last month, not like a hundred years ago. ‘Cuz we dealt with that as well, where people said, you know, that person who died a hundred years ago did a great job,” she added in a dig at Trump for his Frederick Douglass gaffe while in office.
