The White House denied the existence of visitor logs at President Joe Biden’s Wilmington, Delaware home, where classified documents were discovered in his garage and study.
The internet doesn’t believe the Biden administration is telling the truth, unless the Secret Service has failed to do “it’s job.”
“They’re lying, the Secret Service obviously has visitor logs,” tweeted Human Events editor Jack Posobiec on Monday afternoon.
House Committee on Oversight and Accountability Chairman James Comer (R-KY) demanded White House Chief of Staff Ron Klain be “transparent with the American people” and release the records in a letter on Sunday.
“It is troubling that classified documents have been improperly stored at the home of President Biden for at least six years, raising questions about who may have reviewed or had access to classified information,” he wrote.
“Additionally, President Biden’s personal attorneys, who do not possess security clearances, and White House staff continue to access and search the President’s residence in Wilmington, Delaware for classified documents.”
He said Biden’s “mishandling of classified materials raises the issue of whether he has
jeopardized our national security,” and without a visitor log, we’ll “never know who had access to these highly sensitive documents.”
Comer demanded that Klain hand over all material related to the searches of Biden’s residences for classified documents and a retroactive visitor log beginning from the date he took office, by the end of January.
On Monday, the White House denied any existence of visitor records at the Biden’s “personal residence,” despite spending 195 days of his presidency between his Wilmington and Rehoboth Beach homes in Delaware.
“Like every President across decades of modern history, his personal residence is personal,” the White House remarked on Monday.
“But upon taking office, President Biden restored the norm and tradition of keeping White House visitors logs, including publishing them regularly, after the previous administration ended them.”
The Secret Service had the similar the response when asked about the logs the day prior.
“We don’t independently maintain our own visitor logs because it’s a private residence,” spokesman Anthony Guglielmi said on Sunday.
The Secret Service has previously denied keeping records of visitors to Biden’s private homes, when they denied the existence of such records in response to a Freedom of Information Act request last year.
According to Tom Fitton, the president of conservative watchdog group Judicial Watch, “If the Secret Service is doing its job, there has to be visitor records.”
“If there aren’t any records, the scandal is much bigger than just a lack of transparency.”
Former President Donald Trump had a scathing response the the White House’s revelation about the lack of visitor records.
“The White House just announced that there are no LOGS or information of any kind on visitors to the Wilmington house and flimsy, unlocked, and unsecured, but now very famous, garage,” he posted on Truth Social Monday.
“Maybe they are smarter than we think! This is one of seemingly many places where HIGHLY CLASSIFIED documents are stored (in a big pile on the damp floor).”
“Mar-a-Lago is a highly secured facility, with Security Cameras all over the place, and watched over by staff & our great Secret Service,” he concluded. “I have INFO on everyone!”
Trump wasn’t the only one calling out the White House, plenty social media pundits are questioning what Biden is “trying to hide” from the American public.
“I’m not buying the “No visitor logs” story… Probably just trying to hide something from us,” wrote podcaster conservative Graham Allen.
“You have to wonder? Why were no visitor logs kept at Biden’s Delaware home where classified documents were stored?” Questioned author Juanita Broaddrick.
“Who visited Biden and who saw the Docs? So many questions with NO answers.”
“Did Joe Biden destroy the visitor logs for his Delaware home where he was hiding classified documents or is he really that incompetent?” Asked Nick Adams.
“The American people deserve an answer, but it’s impeachable conduct either way.”
“White House just said there aren’t visitor logs from Joe Biden’s Wilmington home. Either they’re lying or Biden illegally kept documents in a place so insecure that a record of visitors doesn’t exist,” someone agreed.
“If the latter is true then his criminal actions were reckless.”
“The White House says there are no visitor logs for Biden’s Wilmington home because it is a ‘personal residence,'” tweeted Texas Congressman Lance Gooden. “If Biden’s personal residence is personal, why were classified government documents there?”
“To hear the Dems tell it, the guy who had documents stored in his house surrounded by Secret Service is BAD, but the guy who had documents stored in his office surrounded by Chinese Communist Donors is GOOD,” wrote “Fox Across America” host Jimmy Failla.
“It’s horrifying to have people this shamelessly stupid in charge.”
Despite the White House and Secret Service’s insistence that the visitor logs don’t exist, Comer told Fox News that he won’t stop pressing for answers.
“President Biden promised to have the most transparent administration in history but he refuses to be transparent when it matters most,” he said after their statements were released on Monday.
“The White House, National Archives, and the Justice Department withheld information from Congress and the American people about classified records found in unsecure locations from Joe Biden’s time as vice president,” Comer went on.
“The American people deserve transparency, not secrecy,” he concluded.
“We will continue to press the Biden Administration for answers about who had access to these classified documents and why Biden aides were permitted to rummage through the Wilmington residence after the appointment of a special counsel.”
