Donald Trump Jr. questioned if the “chemical catastrophe” caused by a train derailment in Ohio is Russian “retaliation against our critical infrastructure.”
Trump Jr. has been critical this week of the Biden administration and liberal media for their handling of the toxic train derailment on Feb. 3, which created an environmental catastrophe in East Palestine, Ohio.
“Don’t worry folks, Mayor, Secretary, Presidential Hopeful Pete is all over this,” he tweeted on Monday.
“Unlike all his other disastrous failures, I’m sure he’ll figure this one out as soon as he’s back from chest-feeding leave.”
Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg failed to mention that the Norfolk Southern Railroad train derailment at all, or how it had spewed toxic gas vinyl chloride into East Palestine, while the National Guard needed to be mobilized to evacuate residents.
Instead he focused a Monday press conference on how there were too many White construction workers working in minority communities.
“We have heard way too many stories from generations past of infrastructure where you got a neighborhood, often a neighborhood of color, that finally sees the project come to them,” Buttigieg remarked.
“But everyone in the hard hats on that project, doing the good paying jobs, don’t look like they came from anywhere near the neighborhood.”
Trump Jr. was not impressed that Buttigieg centered his remarks on construction site racial disparity, rather than the 50 hazmat car derailment and controlled burn of toxic chemicals in Ohio.
“There’s a chemical catastrophe going on in Ohio form one of this weeks numerous train derailments,” Trump Jr. criticized.
“But mayor Pete, our failed transportation secretary, rather than do his job is race baiting & complaining that there are too many white construction workers.”
He wasn’t the only one, Spotify podcaster Joe Rogan called out the transportation secretary for having no understanding of skilled labor trades.
“Do you know that he [Buttigieg] gave a speech the other day about how there’s too many White people working in construction sites?” Rogan asked on Wednesday.
“Where these construction sites are set up in these communities, where the people in the community can benefit from it.”
“Which shows a profound lack of understanding of skilled labor because if you’re talking about people that are carpenters, people that are plumbers, and people that are electricians, and people that are framers and roofers, like that’s skilled labor,” he commented.
He pointed out that if those skilled contractors “don’t exist” in the community being worked on, then they need to be hired from the outside.
Rogan also praised unions for existing to make sure unskilled laborers aren’t allowed to construct buildings, because shoddy work would be disastrous to communities.
“The fact that he talked about that, and he didn’t talk about this derailment, this derailment should be, but the derailment’s a colossal failure on the part of the Transportation Department,” Rogan concluded.
Trump Jr. agreed with Rogan’s assessment. “One transportation disaster after another and Transportation Sect Mayor Pete seems totally MIA,” Trump Jr. added.
“Imagine the outrage he would face if he was a Republican and wasn’t totally protected because he checks some boxes?”
Buttigieg isn’t the only one he called out, the former first son railed against the Biden administration for downplaying the toxic train derailment and rejecting Ohio Governor Mike DeWine’s request for FEMA (Federal Emergency Management Agency) aide.
“The DeWine Administration has been in daily contact with FEMA to discuss the need for federal support, however FEMA continues to tell Governor DeWine that Ohio is not eligible for assistance at this time,” DeWine’s office said on Thursday.
“Ukraine has been given $130 billion not including what they got from the 220 billion that went “missing” from the Pentagon’s budget, but the people of East Palestine Ohio get nothing from FEMA?!?” Trump Jr. wrote.
“Joe Biden and the democrats hate your guts and will always put America last!”
The White House explained on Thursday that FEMA was not equipped to handle East Palestine’s “expansive” needs, and that the “situation is different” than tornadoes and hurricanes that the agency typically deals with.
“The Biden Administration is mobilizing a robust, multi-agency effort to support the people of East Palestine, Ohio. Since February 3, the Environmental Protection Agency has had personnel on the ground,” an official said.
“FEMA is coordinating with the emergency operations center working closely with the Ohio Emergency Management Agency.”
Trump Jr. was unimpressed by the government’s uninspired response and lack of action.
“Maybe if the people of East Palestine Ohio pretend they’re Palestinians from the Middle East the Biden administration will actually pay some attention to them and send them aid,” he snarked.
The situation nearly got twice as bad on Thursday, when another Norfolk Southern hazmat train derailed in Van Buren Township, Michigan.
During the second incident, at least seven cars, one of them carrying toxic materials, went off the tracks just outside of Detroit.
Fortunately, officials said that there was “no evidence of exposed hazardous materials” as a result of the crash.
The same day, Trump Jr. questioned if the multiple toxic train derailments were Russian retribution for the Nord Stream gas pipelines explosions last September.
“We’ve had train wrecks day in and day out for the past week, coincidentally, right after a report about our possibly taking out Russia’s [Nord Stream] 2 pipeline and yet not a single reporter has asked if perhaps it’s a retaliation against our critical infrastructure,” he wrote.
“I hope that’s not the case but does anyone believe in this much coincidence? Has the last few years not taught us to ask these basic questions?”
“Is media that’s stupid and or bought and paid for that they wouldn’t even be questioning it? WTF?” he concluded.
Russia has long believed that explosions in the Baltic Sea were an attack by the West, which was further compounded of Feb. 8, when U.S. investigative journalist Seymour Hersh published a report that the U.S. was involved in sabotaging the pipelines.
“Are we under attack? Does anyone believe you can have all of these major train derailments, all with severe environmental consequences, and it’s just total coincidence?” Trump Jr. questioned.
“Why have we not seen anyone even asking if this is perhaps retribution for our supposed attack on Nordstream 2?”
There have been eight train derailments so far this year, according to the Department of Transportation.
According to the former first son, former President Donald Trump will got to Ohio next week to survey the destruction.
“Breaking News: Trump will visit East Palestine, Ohio next week. If our “leaders” are too afraid to actually lead real leaders will step up and fill the void,” he wrote on Friday.
