Former President Donald Trump was indicted by a Manhattan grand jury in on Thursday and liberal celebrities enthusiastically celebrated the announcement with wishes of “happy indictment day.”
In an unprecedented move, Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg managed to bring criminal charges against the only former president who has ever been indicted in the history of the United States.
Bragg’s investigation focused on hush money payments to porn star Stormy Daniels and former Playboy model Karen McDougal totaling $280,000.
“Hard to believe that Donald Trump having sex resulted in something worse for him than Don Jr.,” The Daily Show posted on Thursday.
In a lengthy statement, Trump called Bragg a “disgrace” for “doing Joe Biden’s dirty work,” instead of using his position to curb the “unprecedented crime wave taking over New York City.”
“This is Political Persecution and Election Interference at the highest level in history,” he posted to Truth Social on Thursday.
“From the time I came down the golden escalator at Trump Tower, and even before I was sworn in as your President of the United States, the Radical Left Democrats – the enemy of the hard-working men and women of this Country – have been engaged in a Witch-Hunt to destroy the Make America Great Again movement.”
“The Democrats have lied, cheated and stolen in their obsession with trying to ‘Get Trump,’ but now they’ve done the unthinkable — indicting a completely innocent person in an act of blatant Election Interference,” he continued. “Never before in our Nation’s history has this been done.”
Horror author Stephen King, told followers that Trump wasn’t telling the truth. “Wise up, Republicans,” he tweeted.

Liberal “Frozen” star Josh Gad agreed that the criminal probe wasn’t politically motivated.
“Trump wasn’t indicted because he’s got political enemies. He wasn’t indicted because he’s a celeb,” he tweeted.
“He wasn’t indicted because of NYC bias. He was indicted because he is and has always been a criminal. This isn’t hard. When you constantly break laws, you pay the price.”
“The charge brought against Trump is not unique,” Rosemary’s Baby star Mia Farrow concurred.
“D.A. Alvin Bragg has brought 117 indictments for falsifying business records in Manhattan. No one should be above the law.”
In a follow-up post, she said that Trump supporters are “inside a [MAGA] cult,” and will stay true, no matter the consequences.
“They will remain obedient and loyal to him regardless of the danger he is to our country, or what awful or illegal or cruel or seditious activities he is engaged in,” Farrow wrote. “That’s how it is for members of a cult.”
Two and A Half Men star Jon Cryer also accused the GOP of becoming a radical sect.
“Hi Republicans! This is actually a great opportunity for you. You could drop this inept, corrupt, utter d–chebag like a hot rock if you want to,” he posted.
“But you won’t. Because you’ve allowed your party to become a cult,” Cryer snarked.
“Perhaps American society is polarized because one political party knowingly nominated and still supports an obvious con man steeped in criminality,” he tweeted.
He also retweeted a meme of Trump with a pardoned Thanksgiving turkey.
Charmed witch Alyssa Milano demanded that conservative politicians turn on Trump.
“As Americans, we deserve leaders who act honorably in our interests and govern in our name,” she tweeted.
“A Grand Jury of everyday Americans across race, background and party has indicted the former MAGA President.”
“The MAGA Republicans in office lied for him and want to undermine and overturn our entire legal system to keep covering up for him,” Milano asserted.
“It’s past time for every Republican in office to declare they are with the American people in demanding Trump & his co-conspirators stand trial.”

“Happy indictment day, to those who celebrate,” wrote Star Trek’s George Takei.
