Boebert Blames Bad Beetlejuice Behavior On Divorce

Colorado Republican Rep. Lauren Boebert blamed her “public and difficult divorce” for the outrageous behavior that got her kicked out of a performance of the “Beetlejuice” musical.

Boebert was booted from the production last weekend, after three separate Denver theatergoers complained that she was engaging in disruptive and inappropriate behavior while watching the show.

The lawmaker was seen vaping an e-cigarrette, singing and dancing along with the music, and recording footage at the show, which prompted staffers to warn her and date Quinn Gallagher during the intermission.

Boebart and Gallagher apparently didn’t take the employees seriously, and when another patron complained about them five minutes into the second act, they were asked to leave.

Usher’s said that the couple initially refused to leave, with Boebart issuing threats of “Do you know who I am?,” and “I will be contacting the mayor,” as they were escorted out of the theater.

Her campaign manager, Drew Sexton, initially downplayed the incident in a snarky statement.

“I can confirm the stunning and salacious rumors: in her personal time, Congresswoman Lauren Boebert is indeed a supporter of the performing arts (gasp!) and, to the dismay of a select few, enthusiastically enjoyed a weekend performance of Beetlejuice,” Sexton wrote.

“She appreciates the Buell Theatre’s strict enforcement of their no photos policy and only wishes the Biden Administration could uphold our border laws as thoroughly and vigorously.”

He also denied that Boebart had been vaping and blamed the theater’s use of fog machines.

The firebrand politician mocked the public’s outrage over the incident in a gleefully sarcastic tweet last Tuesday.

“It’s true, I did thoroughly enjoy the AMAZING Beetlejuice at the Buell Theatre and I plead guilty to laughing and singing too loud,” she posted. Ā 

“Everyone should go see it if you get the chance this week and please let me know how it ends!”

Boebart went from smug to contrite on Friday, when CCTV footage of her hitting her vape pen, while a pregnant woman in the row behind asked her to refrain, went viral.

Even more embarrassingly the congresswoman was recorded having her breast aggressively fondled by the Hooch Craft Cocktail Bar owner, who is reportedly a Democrat, while she returned the favor by stroking his crotch.

After being removed from their seats, Boebert could be seen arguing with staffers, taking a selfie on her way into the lobby, and flicking off ushers.

As the couple exited the building, she tugged up the top of her dress in an attempt to cover up her breasts that had been displaced by the heavy petting.

Once on the street, Boebert twirled herself on her and Gallagher’s joined hands as if she was dancing.

After the footage surfaced, the congresswoman offered up an apology on Friday night that was both lengthy and contrite.

ā€œThe past few days have been difficult and humbling, and Iā€™m truly sorry for the unwanted attention my Sunday evening in Denver has brought to the community,ā€ the apology began according to the Colorado Sun.

ā€œWhile none of my actions or words as a private citizen that night were intended to be malicious or meant to cause harm, the reality is they did and I regret that.ā€

Boebert blamed her divorce from her husband of 18 years, Jason, for the awful behavior.

ā€œThereā€™s no perfect blueprint for going through a public and difficult divorce, which over the past few months has made for a challenging personal time for me and my entire family,” the statement concluded.

“Iā€™ve tried to handle it with strength and grace as best I can, but I simply fell short of my values on Sunday. Thatā€™s unacceptable and Iā€™m sorry.ā€

Despite the apology, Boebert has been torched by the press for being “an entitled princess.”

“Just another day in the carefree life of U.S. Rep. Lauren Boebert, whose M.O. is constant narcissistic chaos and whose developmental level appears to have been arrested in middle school,” Colorado Sun writer Diane Carman said in an opinion piece.

“For the (less than) honorable representative of Colorado’s 3rd Congressional District, it was another opportunity to flaunt rules and social norms and exhibit her contempt for anyone who might have come to the theater simply to enjoy the show.”
