Rob Reiner Blames Trump For Hamas Attacks On Israel

Ultra-liberal Hollywood director Rob Reiner insinuated that it was former President Donald Trump’s fault that Palestinian militants launched a large-scale attack on Israel on Saturday.

“Does anyone one think that Trump showing Classified Israeli Intelligence to Lavrov in the Oval Office played any part in the Intelligence failure that led to the horrors were now witnessing?” Reiner tweeted on Sunday night.

The “Stand By Me” director was referencing the Washington Post’s 2017 report that Trump revealed “highly classified information” to Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and Ambassador Sergey Kislyak during a meeting at the White House in May of the same year.

According to the report, which then National Security Adviser H.R. McMaster said was “false,” as he was “in the room and it didn’t happen,” Trump allegedly discussed “aspects of the threat that the United States learned only through the espionage capabilities of a key partner.”

“He did not reveal the specific intelligence-gathering method, but he described how the Islamic State was pursuing elements of a specific plot and how much harm such an attack could cause under varying circumstances,” the Post reported.

“Most alarmingly, officials said, Trump revealed the city in the Islamic State’s territory where the U.S. intelligence partner detected the threat,” the outlet noted.

When Reiner made the insane assertion, followers were quick to shut him down. “No. Nobody thinks that,” one person replied.

“I think the current occupant of the Oval Office played a part — a really big part,” another pointed out.

“Since Trump has been out of office over 2 1/2 years, I kind of doubt it,” somebody summed up. “But I think Biden releasing $6 billion to labrov exchange for hostages, and then a week later…”

The sentiment was shared by Trump himself, who blasted the Biden administration for whittling away at the Abraham Accords.

“These Hamas attacks are a disgrace and Israel has every right to defend itself with overwhelming force,” he posted to Truth Social on Saturday.

“Sadly, American taxpayer dollars helped fund these attacks, which many reports are saying came from the Biden Administration.”

“We brought so much peace to the Middle East through the Abraham Accords, only to see Biden whittle it away at a far more rapid pace than anyone thought possible,” he concluded. “Here we go again.”

Texas Senator Ted Cruz told Fox News that Hamas’ “grotesque act of war,” which has seen Israelis kidnapped, raped, beaten, and murdered, while Palestine has relentlessly shelled the country for days, “was paid for by billions of dollars that Joe Biden sent to Iran.”

Meanwhile, liberal celebrities like Mia Farrow believe that what Cruz said is false. “This is a lie and he knows it,” Farrow wrote.

But according to a Sunday report by the Wall Street Journal, Iranian security officials have helped plan the attack for weeks.

“Iranian security officials helped plan Hamas’s Saturday surprise attack on Israel and gave the green light for the assault at a meeting in Beirut last Monday, according to senior members of Hamas and Hezbollah, another Iran-backed militant group,” WSJ stated.

U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken denied that they have confirmation of the connection, but acknowledged the likelihood.

“We have not yet seen evidence that Iran directed or was behind this particular attack, but there is certainly a long relationship,” he told CNN.

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis said that Hamas was a Iran’s “tool” for attacking Israel without getting the county’s hands dirty, and the United States needs to let our ally know that we stand behind them as they deploy “overwhelming force” against the terrorist network.

“Part of the reason we’re in this situation is because in past iterations of attacks, which admittedly, were not at this level, Israel would respond, but then there’d immediately be a lot of pressure for Israel to stand down,” he told Newsmax.

“Israel would even start getting blamed. And so they never really uprooted the terror networks of Hamas, and even Hezbollah, like they probably should have,” DeSantis continued.

According to Blinken, none of the $6 billion in Iranian funds that were set to be unfrozen for “humanitarian purposes” in exchange for five American prisoners, have been spent.

“The facts are these — no U.S. taxpayer dollars were involved,” Blinken told CNN. “These were Iranian resources that Iran had accumulated from the sale of its oil that were stuck in a bank in South Korea.”

“They have had from day one, under our law, under our sanctions, the right to use these monies for humanitarian purposes,” he insisted.

“From one account to another in another country to facilitate that use,” Blinken remarked. “As of now, not a single dollar has been spent from that account.”
