Tens of thousands of people are furious that the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade will heavily feature performances by non-binary actors.
One Million Moms (OMM) has put together a petition against the performances, and it has garnered a significant amount of support with signatures from over 30,000 individuals.
“The non-binary and transgender extravaganza on display this Thanksgiving will be brought to you by Macy’s during their annually sponsored Thanksgiving Day Parade,” the petition states.
“Unless they are forewarned about it, this year’s holiday parade will potentially expose tens of millions of viewers at home to the liberal LGBTQ agenda.”

The parade’s NBC broadcast will feature Broadway shows Back to the Future, How to Dance in Ohio, Spamalot, but the controversy comes from the inclusion of actors from Shucked, along with musical & Juliet.
The petition specifically takes issue with non-binary performers from two Broadway shows who are slated to participate at the event.
Shucked star Alex Newell, who rose to fame as a non-binary character in Fox hit Glee, made history earlier this year by becoming the first non-binary person to take home a Tony Award for best performance by a featured actor in a musical.

Transgender non-binary actor Justin David Sullivan, who declined a Tony nomination this year in protest of the gendered categories, will represent & Juliet at the parade.
The petition blasted the department store for including the non-binary actors in the parade’s line-up.

“Shame on Macy’s for promoting and sponsoring this type of entertainment. We still cannot trust Macy’s Dept. Store,” the petition stated.
“It is clear that Macy’s does not have our children’s best interests in mind. Macy’s needs to know that trust must be earned, and once trust is lost, it is difficult to get back.”
Plenty of commenters on social media agreed with OMM’s sentiment.
“My family and I will be boycotting the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade for the first time ever,” tweeted Lady Patriot. “Macy’s is making a big mistake on this one.”
“I hope the sponsors of the parade are prepared to lose a lot of money if this happens,” another added.
“Another store to boycott,” someone else wrote. “Christmas shopping at Nordstrom.”
If I had a nickel for every time a balloon in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade got too personal with another, I'd have 10¢.
Which isn't a lot, but it's VERY weird that it happened twice. pic.twitter.com/o4jYsC8elt

One Million Moms highlighted that it wouldn’t be the first time the Thanksgiving Parade featured a transgender performer.
“In 2021, transgender pop star Kim Petras performed during the parade, becoming the first transgender celebrity to perform during this once family-friendly holiday tradition,” OMM revealed.
Meanwhile, Petras said that “the goal” is for gay fans to have sex at their concerts.
The German pop star currently is on an international tour that has an upcoming date in San Diego, before heading to Europe in early 2024.
Children as young as eight-years-old are allowed to attend the shows, with minors under fourteen required to be accompanied by adults.
Despite having children in attendance, Petras told Interview magazine that fans are encouraged to engage in sexual activity during performances.
“There’s definitely gay sex happening, which is lit,” Petras told the outlet. “In the crowd, and that’s the goal.”
Based on the singer’s own description of the tour, it doesn’t exactly sound like a PG-13 event.
“And if you look at the show, it’s kind of inspired by Dante’s Inferno and the different levels of hell,” Petras noted.
“I come out in an iron maiden. Everything’s very symbolic for my life and you really have to over-analyze it to get it all.”
Petras rose to fame and controversy on non-binary singer Sam Smith’s 2022 hit Unholy.
Their satanic themed performance at the Grammys, which saw both singers and backup dancers alike dressed in red devil inspired costumes, spurred an enormous amount of FCC complaints.
Petras is not slated to be a the Macy’s parade this year, but the “non-binary and transgender extravaganza” will be broadcast nationwide at 8:30 a.m. from New York City on Thanksgiving Day.
