Barbra Streisand Attacks The Media For Fixating On Biden’s Age

Singer Barbra Streisand called out the media for focusing on President Biden’s age, when former President Donald Trump “is only 3 years younger.”

The Yentl star got defensive over Biden’s age on Tuesday, likely because both she and the Commander-in-Chief are both 81-years old.

“The media constantly talks about Biden’s age,” she tweeted. “But Trump is only three years younger.”

Streisand then called attention to the president’s ill fated Delaware bike ride in June of 2022, when fell in front of cameras.

The incident was caught on camera, as Biden smiled while riding through a cross walk, then came to a stop and fell over.

“Age is also a function of mental and physical fitness. Let’s see next time Trump can ride a bicycle,” she continued. 

“Trump also keeps saying he beat Obama in 2016 amidst all the other unhinged things he rants about,” Streisand concluded.

The “A Star Is Born” actress was panned on the social media platform for her hot take.

“Riding a bicycle? Really Babs? That’s your “to go”? How about not falling off the bicycle, up the stairs, on the stage,” a commenter shot back. “At this point, it’s elderly abuse.”

“Trump isn’t an embalmed cadaver falling all over the place,” another added.

“Barbara doesn’t care if your IRAs are losing money or if your taxes are rising or if groceries cost you more,” someone else pointed out. 

“It doesn’t affect her one iota so she’s going to keep the “vote blue no matter who” propaganda rolling.”

One replier called Streisand out for previously saying that she would leave the country if Trump was elected in 2016.

“I’m either coming to your country, if you’ll let me in, or Canada,” she said to Australian journalist Michael Usher during a “60 Minutes” interview ahead of the 2016 election.

“Where are you going when Trump wins,” the social media heckler jeered on Tuesday. “The last time he won you lied about leaving. You made millions on your 2017 tour.”

Streisand revealed exactly where she would move to if Trump gets reelected in 2024, when she recently repeated the threat to leave.

“I can’t live in this country if he becomes president,” she told “The Late Show” host Stephen Colbert in November.

When he asked where she’d move, the Hollywood mainstay said, “Probably England, I like England.”

In the same interview, the Grammy winner told Colbert that the current political climate was “bad,” but she’s a fan of the current president.

“Well, I like Biden. I think he’s done a good job,” she stated. “I think he’s compassionate. He’s smart. He supports the right things.”

Streisand has consistently praised Biden during his time in office, while blasting Republican lawmakers at every turn.

“The MAGA GOP now threatens to shut down the government if they don’t get to impeach Biden. On what high crimes, they don’t know,” she tweeted in September.

“Biden spent the Holiday weekend helping the residents of Florida after the hurricane. The GOP doesn’t believe in the federal action until they need it.”

She took a shot at the 45th president later in the same month. “Trump said he “got the job done” when he was President,” the “Meet The Fockers” star posted. 

“What job? He is the first President since Hoover to post a net job loss and said injecting bleach might cure Covid.”

Streisand warned her more than 800,000 X followers that Trump is a threat to democracy in November.

“Donald Trump was found by a federal judge to have orchestrated an insurrection,” she wrote. “He watched as the chaos and violence ensued and did nothing to stop it.”

“He still lies about the election results and if he gets re-elected he will destroy our democracy.”

Then blasted him for calling Biden corrupt as the walls are closing in on the president as his son and brother’s shady business dealings have come to light.

“Trump’s whole miserable political philosophy is revenge for his fragile ego,” she wrote on Dec. 3.

“Trump is constantly projecting his own situation onto others. He faces 91 felony indictments, and yet calls Biden “corrupt,” Streisand added in a follow-up post the same day.
