Liberal Hollywood is thrilled that Colorado blocked former President Donald Trump from the 2024 presidential ballot, while their conservative counterparts had biting words about the decision.
In a bombshell court ruling, the Colorado Supreme Court voted 4-3 to prohibit former President Donald Trump from appearing on the 2024 presidential ballot.
The court cited the Constitution’s “Insurrection Clause,” claiming that Trump’s involvement in the January 6 Capitol Hill riot constituted insurrection.
It is worth noting that Trump has neither been charged nor convicted of the crime of insurrection in a court of law.
THANK YOU, #COLORADO! The first state in the Union to throw #Trump off the ballot!!

In fact, the U.S. Senate acquitted him of charges related to this matter.
Several prominent Hollywood figures, including Bette Midler, Rob Reiner, and Mark Hamill expressed their delight over the court’s decision.
The Hocus Pocus witch praised Colorado as the first state in the Union to “throw Trump off the ballot.”
Reiner, who is currently working on a documentary about “Christian Nationalism,” commended the ruling as a manifestation of sanity.
“The Colorado Supreme Court, stating the obvious, has ruled that Donald Trump, having engaged in Insurrection, be removed from the ballot and be barred from holding public office,” he tweeted on Tuesday.
“Nice to see a little sanity poking it’s head up,” the Stand By Me director added.

Trump, responding to the court’s decision, said it was election interference and plans to continue his legal battle by taking the case to the U.S. Supreme Court.
“What a shame for our country!!!” He wrote on Truth Social Wednesday. “A sad day for America!!!”
“The last time the Democrats took someone off the ballot was in 1860 – They would not allow a man named Abraham Lincoln to be so much as mentioned in “Slave States.” Gateway Pundit,” Trump added in a follow-up post.
He also posted a series of polls that indicate his strong lead over Biden and every other Republican primary contender.
Trump’s campaign spokesperson, Steven Cheung, had a scathing rebuke for the court’s shocking ruling.
“Unsurprisingly, the all Democrat-appointed Colorado Supreme Court has ruled against President Trump, supporting a Soros-funded, left-wing group’s scheme to interfere in an election on behalf of Crooked Joe Biden by removing President Trump’s name from the ballot and eliminating the rights of Colorado voters to vote for the candidate of their choice,” he began.
A person who initiated a rebellion in order to retain power, then when it failed, insisted our election was invalid- a lie that has caused enduring division & damage, should not be anywhere near the WH but rather in prison with those who did his bidding https://t.co/iUD5qWnr8x

Cheung said that Dem leaders are “in a state of paranoia” over Trump’s lead in recent polls.
He insisted that they have “lost faith” in Biden’s failed presidency and are scrambling to make sure they’re not voted out of office in November.
🚨 BREAKING NEWS: COLORADO DUMPS tRUMP🚨
The Supreme Court will decide whether the 14th Amendment means what it says or not. A chaotic campaign just got even more chaotic!#StayTuned 👀👀👀— Mark Hamill (@MarkHamill) December 20, 2023
The spokesman added that the campaign would immediately file an appeal with the U.S. Supreme Court, and has “full confidence” that they will rule in Trump’s favor.
Meanwhile, Biden was asked if he believed Trump was an “insurrectionist” by a reporter on Wednesday and said that he thought it was “self-evident.”
“Whether the Fourteenth Amendment applies, we’ll let the Court make that decision,” the president stated.
“But he certainly supported an insurrection,” Biden continued. “No question about it. None. Zero. And he seems to be doubling down.”
Actor James Woods took to Twitter to clap back at the assertion that Trump did anything wrong during the Capitol riot.
“Donald Trump has never been found guilty of any crime, ever. Most certainly he has never been convicted of insurrection,” the Once Upon A Time In America star wrote.
“The real “war on democracy” is being waged in Colorado,” he noted.
Former Olympian and reality star Caitlyn Jenner said that the Colorado Supreme Court’s ruling was “insane election interference.”
Let me know when he’s off the planet. https://t.co/3thDnv46TN

Conversely, Top Chef’s Padma Lakshmi posted that she’s “so glad someone has some common sense,” about the Colorado Supreme Court.
While Star Wars actor Mark Hamill claimed that Trump’s “chaotic campaign just got even more chaotic.”
Animal Kingdom star Ellen Barkin’s reaction was slightly less enthused. “Let me know when he’s off the planet,” she wrote.
