UFC President called former President Donald Trump a “real American bad*ss” during his address at the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee On Thursday night.
White shared that Trump, his longtime pal, had called him two weeks earlier, asking if he could speak at the event, but was worried about taking away from White’s family time.
“He’s fighting for the future of this country and he’s concerned about interrupting my family trip. That’s the President Trump that I know. A man who truly cares about people,” White began.
White addressed the misconceptions fueled by the media, asserting that Trump is often mischaracterized in headlines.

“The mainstream media likes to push the narrative that he doesn’t care about anyone but himself,” the UFC president pushed back.
“I absolutely know that’s not the truth because I’ve been friends with this guy for 25 years. And for the people who know me, they’ll know this is true.”
He also pointed towards Trump’s resilience, describing him as the toughest person he has met. “I’m in the tough guy business and this man is the toughest, most resilient human being that I’ve ever met in my life,” White asserted.
He also spoke about Trump’s determination, noting, “The higher the stakes, the harder he fights and this guy never ever gives up. What’s at stake here? The answer is in President Trump’s text and I quote ‘a fight for our country’.”
This was not White’s first time advocating for Trump at the RNC, having also spoken in 2016 and 2020.
The bond between Trump and White dates back to the early days of the UFC when Trump supported the struggling promotion by hosting fights at the Trump Taj Mahal.
White praised Trump’s leadership, saying, “He is a proven leader, a fearless leader, and this country was in a much better place when he was in the Oval Office.”
He also spoke about his confidence in Trump’s intentions for the nation, adding, “I know he wants what’s best for the American people – all American people.
“I know he’s running for president to save our American dream. I’m living the American dream and I know the American dream is very real,” White continued.
“Whether you were born in this country or came here from someplace else, this is the last real land of opportunity.”
He contrasted the period of peace and economic prosperity during Trump’s presidency with the current situation under Biden.
“I know I’m going to choose strength and security. I know I’m going to choose opportunity and prosperity. I know I’m going to choose real American leadership and a real American bad*ss,” White said about who he was voting for in November.
This sentiment was echoed by Facebook creator and Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, who reflected on Trump’s resilience following his recent assassination attempt.

“Seeing Donald Trump get up after getting shot in the face and pump his fist in the air with the American flag is one of the most bada** things I’ve ever seen in my life,” Zuckerberg told the New York Times.
Zuckerberg acknowledged the emotional impact of Trump’s spirit and determination, saying, “On some level as an American, it’s like hard to not get kind of emotional about that spirit and that fight, and I think that that’s why a lot of people like the guy.”
However, Zuckerberg clarified that he does not plan to endorse Trump and prefers his social media platforms to have a reduced role in elections.
“The main thing that I hear from people is that they actually want to see less political content on our services because they come to our services to connect with people,” he remarked.
“I think you’re going to see our services play less of a role in this election than they have in the past.”
Meta had suspended Trump from Facebook and Instagram for two years following the events of January 6, 2021, citing his attempts to “undermine the peaceful transfer of power.” Trump’s accounts were reinstated ahead of the Republican National Convention.

Meanwhile, fellow social media scion Elon Musk fully endorsed Trump on his platform X, following the assassination attempt.
Musk committed around $45 million per month to fund the American PAC, a super political action committee supporting Trump’s election efforts.
Kid Rock also showed his support by performing a new song inspired by Trump at the RNC event on Thursday.

The 53-year-old musician energized the crowd with the call-and-response chant, “fight, fight,” and praised Trump through his lyrics.
Rock’s performance mirrored Trump’s own rallying call following the assassination attempt in Pennsylvania, which resulted in one supporter’s death and injuries to Trump and two others.
Kid Rock concluded his performance with a rendition of “American Bad A**,” engaging the audience with fiery visuals and patriotic imagery.
Trump’s Thursday night acceptance speech at the convention broke his previous record for the longest speech, spanning over 92 minutes.
He began by recounting the harrowing assassination attempt before pivoting to criticize prosecutors and outline his policy proposals, including boosting U.S. energy production and addressing illegal immigration.
Trump used a rally-tested line about Hannibal Lecter to criticize the current state of immigration, stating, “The late great Hannibal Lecter: He’d love to have you for dinner.”
