Donald Trump took aim at MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow in a fiery post on Truth Social, claiming her time on air was almost over.
“Wow! Rachel Maddow has horrible ratings,” he declared. “She’ll be off the air very soon. MSNBC IS CLOSE TO DEATH. CNN HAS REACHED THE BOTTOM. This is a good thing. They are the Enemy of the people!”
Trump’s remarks followed Maddow’s controversial comparison of him to Fidel Castro during her recent show.
The ultra-liberal host, referencing Trump’s January 6 pardons, drew parallels between the former president and the Cuban dictator.

She began by spotlighting Stewart Rhodes, the Oath Keepers founder convicted of seditious conspiracy related to the Capitol riot.
Maddow alleged rumors hinted that Trump wanted to celebrate the people he pardoned at the White House, a notion she described as fuel for his rally crowd’s enthusiasm.
“That’s the sort of thing that probably sounded great at a Trump rally,” she began. “Like it was something the people wanted when you were stewing about stuff like this at a Trump rally.”

“At one of your Fidel Castro, Castro-esque, you know, three and a half hour long rambly speeches.” Maddow rambled on. “Where most of the people left before you were halfway through it.”
Meanwhile, Vice President JD Vance found himself sparring with CBS journalist Margaret Brennan over the Trump administration’s decision to suspend the Afghan Refugee Program.
During his first major interview since assuming office on “Face the Nation,” Vance staunchly defended the move, citing concerns over inadequate vetting of incoming refugees.
When pressed about an Oklahoma man’s election-day attack plot, Brennan called it “a very particular case.”
Vance dismissed the sentiment, stating, “I don’t really care, Margaret. I don’t want that person in my country and I think most Americans agree with me.”
He then shifted the focus to the vetting process, asserting that there were examples of supposedly “properly vetted” refugees planning attacks.

I could watch this all day.
Vance: We absolutely cannot unleash thousands of unvetted people into our country.
Brennan: These people are vetted.

Brennan challenged him again, asking if he still supported his prior stance, where he’d said properly vetted individuals who aided the US shouldnât be abandoned.
Vance clarified, “Well, Margaret I don’t agree that all these immigrants or all these refugees have been properly vetted.
“In fact, we know that there are cases of people who allegedly were properly vetted and then were literally planning terrorist attacks on our country,” he continued.
“That happened during the campaign if you remember, so clearly not all these foreign nationals have been properly vetted,” he added.
Amid Brennan’s persistence, Vance doubled down, linking back to the incident in Oklahoma City. He stated, “Just like the guy who planned a terrorist attack in Oklahoma a few months ago? He was allegedly properly vetted.”
Despite Brennan’s attempt to highlight nuances, such as whether this individual was radicalized in the US or beforehand, Vance rejected the notion, citing broader safety concerns for American children and neighborhoods.
“I don’t want my children to share a neighborhood with people who are not properly vetted, and because I don’t want it for my kids, I’m not gonna force any other American citizens’ kids to that either,” he concluded.
Elsewhere, the Trump administration’s tough stance on deportation was highlighted when Border Czar Tom Homan faced pressing questions from ABC journalist Martha Raddatz regarding military flights deporting illegal immigrants.
Homan confidently confirmed that the flights were part of a long-term plan, simply saying, “Yes.”

Raddatz pushed further, asking if millions of deportations were on the horizon. Homan didn’t flinch, acknowledging, “Yes. But you’re going to see that number steadily increase, the number of arrests nationwide as we open up the aperture.”
When questioned about targeting only those with criminal records, Homan declared unambiguously, “If you’re in the country illegally, you’re on the table because it’s not okay to, you know, violate the laws of this country.”
“So if you’re in a country illegally, you got a problem. And that’s why I’m hoping those who are in the country illegally, who have not been ordered removed by the federal judge, should leave,” he added.
Conservative commentator Tomi Lahren heaped praise on Homan for his unapologetic remarks. She exclaimed on social media, “Tom is a SAVAGE and I’m so damn proud to know him,”
“I could listen to this on a loop! Tom gives zero Fs and Trump doesnât either. America last is OVER. Get used to it,” Lahren added in another post.
