Mega influencer Jake Paul has become a surprising voice of reason as President Donald Trump and his former “First Buddy” Elon Musk spitefully duke it out in public after their nuclear fallout.
As Musk and Trump were going to war, MAGA social media star Jake Paul took to X to call for cooler heads to prevail.
“One of the problems with the Republican Party is on display today,” Paul wrote. “(As a current Republican) We unfortunately have these Alpha male egos and leaders who aren’t mature enough sometimes. They’re 50+ years old and diss tweeting each other.”
“Elon and Trump are great but they need to work together and not make America look bad,” he added.

Elon and Trump are great but they need to…

Musk’s feud with the president began just before his departure from the federal government, where he had been serving in a limited-term advisory role.
As he stepped away from that position, Musk began targeting the Trump-backed One Big Beautiful Bill Act, calling the legislation “a disgusting abomination.”
The package, which aims to make permanent the 2017 tax cuts, strengthen the southern border, tie Medicaid to work requirements, and roll back green energy incentives, was slammed by Musk in early June in a tirade on his social media platform.

Days earlier, he had publicly signaled his disapproval on CBS News, calling the proposal’s price tag “disappointing.”
Following his May 30 exit from government service, Musk ramped up the attacks, and the situation quickly escalated.

On June 5, President Trump responded forcefully, threatening to rescind Musk’s government contracts and accusing the billionaire of instability.
“Elon was ‘wearing thin,’ I asked him to leave, I took away his EV Mandate that forced everyone to buy Electric Cars that nobody else wanted (that he knew for months I was going to do!), and he just went CRAZY!” Trump wrote.
In response, Musk alleged that Trump’s name appeared in sealed documents tied to Jeffrey Epstein.

The media will try to take what he said here and turn it into a big deal. It’s not.
I trust both Trump and Elon. I don’t think either men are the problem.
You want to know who the real problem is?

“@realDonaldTrump is in the Epstein files. That is the real reason they have not been made public,” Musk posted. “Have a nice day, DJT!”
At one point, Musk even threatened to pull SpaceX support for NASA’s astronaut transportation program, before he abruptly reversed course.

He also amplified a post suggesting that Trump should be impeached and warned the GOP: “Trump has 3.5 years left as President, but I will be around for 40+ years.”
Trump brushed off the feud, while reiterating the benefits of his economic plan in a series of Friday morning interviews.
“The numbers are through the roof, the stock market is up, billions are pouring in from tariffs, and my poll numbers are the highest they’ve ever been. Other than that, what can I tell you, right?” the president said in a phone interview.

“The bill is great. It’s going to pass, but the bill is great, and it’s going be great for everybody, including him,” Trump added when asked if Musk was upset over specific provisions.
Liberal late night host and frequent Trump troll Jimmy Kimmel couldn’t help but revel in the drama. During his Thursday night monologue, Kimmel mocked both men.
“Just a few days ago, Elon was in the Oval Office, Trump gave him the key to the White House, he was saying all these nice things,” Kimmel said.
He recalled a past post where Musk professed, “I love Donald Trump as much as a straight man can love another man.”
“They couldn’t quit each other it was like Woke-back Mountain with these two,” Kimmel added. “And now it’s all gone and battle lines are being drawn.”
“I feel bad for Donald Trump. First he lost Jeffrey Epstein, now Elon. He’s running out of friends,” he quipped.
The comedian made it clear he did not feel bad at all and was clearly enjoying the spectacle. “This is so hard for everyone – except me, of course. This is great for me.”
The chaos grew even more surreal when disgraced rapper Kanye West tried to intervene. “Broooos please noooooo,” West pleaded on X. “We love you both so much.”
Kimmel cracked that the increasingly erratic rapper “took a break from designing his summer line of swastikas” to chime in during the fallout.
“That’s when you know things are nuts when the man trying to bring everyone together is Kanye West,” he joked.
In a Friday morning interview, Trump dismissed the idea that he was overly concerned with the ongoing spat.
“I’m not even thinking about Elon,” he told CNN’s Dana Bash. “He’s got a problem. The poor guy’s got a problem.”
Asked whether reconciliation was possible, Trump replied, “I won’t be speaking to him for a while, I guess, but I wish him well.”
When questioned by the New York Post whether Musk’s personal attacks came as a surprise, the president replied simply, “Nothing catches me by surprise. Nothing.”
“He knew the bill as well as anybody,” Trump said, suggesting that Musk’s outrage was more calculated than spontaneous.
“The bill is great. It’s going to pass, but the bill is great, and it’s going be great for everybody, including him,” he added.
“And you see it now. And take a look at what happened today with the job numbers. They’re through the roof, and the stock market’s up already 600 points. This is what I do for a living, OK?”
