A-list actors Woody Harrelson and Tim Allen made headlines this week for their hot takes on “Big Government” and President Joe Biden’s mental fitness.
Harrelson got stoned with Bill Maher on his “Club Random” podcast last weekend and questioned why Americans should trust their health to “Big Pharma and Big Government.”
“Most Americans would not normally trust the government with helping them, you know. Like what does the government actually do to help you?” The “Zombieland” star asked. “They help the big corporations industry, all the people that got you know, got those people in the Congress or to become president. Those people all got to get taken care of.”
He was shocked when Maher mentioned that polls indicate that Americans don’t actually trust the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention post pandemic.
“Okay, so here’s the CDC promoting that we have to do all of these things, right?” Harrelson continued.
“I just, I don’t like profiteering in war, you know, think of the billions of dollars that have gone to Big Pharma, but I was getting back to my original point,” he remarked. “The last people I would trust with my health is Big Pharma and Big Government because neither one of those strike me as caring entities.”
“Spoken like as the perfect redneck hippie,” Maher joked. “And there’s just a lot of money in selling medicine. I’m not saying some of it isn’t necessary, and some of it isn’t helpful and has saved lives.”
Maher asserted that Americans should be able to make decisions about their own personal health, and said that he should be allowed to listen to doctor’s who have an alternate point of view to Dr. Anthony Fauci’s healthcare rhetoric.
“Toy Story” star Tim Allen enraged woke social media when he made a “disrespectful” crack at the expense of President Biden on Monday.
“Biden was on 60 minutes,” he wrote. “I heard he asked how long the show was.”
“I think the funniest thing Tim Allen has done in the last 20 years is assume that he’s still in any way relevant,” one commenter shot back.
“And this, kids, is why Tim Allen isn’t the voice of Buzz Lightyear anymore,” added another.
“That’s almost as good of a joke as a convicted drug dealer turned “law & order” Republican!” someone tweeted along with a photo of Allen’s mugshot from a drug trafficking arrest.
“You should be in prison,” another wrote.
