Fight Club actor Edward Norton has a surprising connection to New York Democrat Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and fans aren’t happy about it.
The three-time Academy Award Nominee has been revealed as one of AOC’s biggest individual donors.
Norton donated $5,000 to AOC in the first quarter of 2020, and has contributed a total of $13,100 since 2020.
The liberal actor has been a frequent funder of the Democratic party, a $2,500 donation to Hillary Clinton in 2016, more than $39,000 to former President Obama, and over $50,000 to the Democratic National Committee.

The conservative internet went nuts after the connection between Norton and AOC was revealed, and have demanded fans stop viewing his films.
“Actor Edward Norton among AOC’s top donors,” one person wrote. “Boycott Norton.”
“Used to like him as actor. Will have no problem NOT GOING TO HIS MOVIES now,” someone replied.
“I don’t see how anyone who supports American values would support her,” another tweeted.
“Don’t patronize any of the Hollywood elites that support Marxism,” somebody added.
Norton has frequently commented on AOC’s posts since he began to support her in 2020.
In March of that year, she called for a payment moratorium for home owners and renters at the beginning of the pandemic.
The American History X star said that the notion was “100% correct.”
“We need immediate & real protection from rent & mortgage, residential & commercial,” he responded.
100% correct @AOC @NYGovCuomo @SenSchumer @NYCMayor We need immediate & real protection from rent & mortgage, residential & commercial. Working families & small business can’t be expected to keep landlords & huge commercial real estate barons & and the banks behind them afloat https://t.co/Rsbv2Hun4a

“Working families & small business can’t be expected to keep landlords & huge commercial real estate barons & and the banks behind them afloat.”
When AOC went after Florida Republican Senator Marco Rubio over his complaint about a Biden official, Norton thanked her and slammed the GOP.
“The staggering scale of the hypocrisy is exhausting,” he began.
“Doubly so in a week we learn that the operational core of our government, including our nuclear / military security complex has been brazenly attacked by Russia at an unprecedented level.”
The Birdman star lauded AOC for raising relief funds during The Great Texas Freeze in 2021, while Republican Senator Ted Cruz was caught in an airport coming back from a Cancun trip.
:A progressive NY Congresswoman doing more for Texans than the TX Governor or either Senator,” he tweeted.
“Raising emergency support while TX leaders, who own this failure fully, lie about renewable energy & flee to Cancun.”
“[Texas] deserves reps who work for interests of the people not corps,” the filmmaker wrote.
He also agreed with AOC’s since deleted tweet that the nation doesn’t “have a ‘race issue’. We have a racism issue.”
“Donald Trump is a vile, unrepentant, dangerous racist,” he wrote in November 2020. “We have to rise to this moment in unprecedented numbers and vote this thug out.”
