A Marvel actor known for getting Hulk-mad went off on the Supreme Court on Saturday.
Liberal “The Avengers” star Mark Ruffalo took a swing at SCOTUS after three landmark decisions were made last week.
In a two day span, the Supreme Court ruled against President Biden’s student loan bailout and affirmative action, while deciding that a graphic designer was allowed to refuse to design wedding websites for same-sex couples under First Amendment free speech rights.
Ruffalo went on a Twitter rant after responding to a HuffPost piece that accused the nation’s highest court’s “conservative supermajority” of “rolling back the 20th century.
Okay. So we all understand that the Supreme Court has become a right-wing ideological political institution under Alito, Thomas, Gorsuch, Barrett, Kavanaugh, & Roberts. They're for sale & illegitimate. Now, we have to beat them in the executive branch & the legislature.…

The article claimed that when Roe v. Wade overturned the right to an abortion in 2022, “it signaled a new era for the court’s conservatism,” and that none of the rights and policies that were of the 20th century “appeared safe.”
Writer Paul Blumenthal blasted SCOTUS for “fulfilling an unfinished policy goal” of ending affirmative action, a “goal” of conservatives since the Reagan era.
He also charged that by “voiding” Biden’s higher learning debt relief plan, “the court continued the conservative movement’s political goal of restraining the executive branch’s ability to regulate or alleviate the ills of private capital.”
Blumenthal concluded that liberals needed to control the court’s power by “building a majority through politics,” which he claimed is “the only way to assert the power of the people over the anti-democratic whims of the justices.”
Ruffalo was clearly fired up after reading the article, when he claimed that conservative justices were “for sale” in back-to-back Twitter posts.
“Okay. So we all understand that the Supreme Court has become a right-wing ideological political institution under Alito, Thomas, Gorsuch, Barrett, Kavanaugh, & Roberts,” the actor began on Saturday morning.
“They’re for sale & illegitimate,” he accused. “Now, we have to beat them in the executive branch & the legislature.”
In an attempt at rousing his woke follower’s, Ruffalo said liberals needed to “organize the vote.
“They’re taking us backward. We have already left them behind,” he went on. “Now we keep building people’s power.”
“We have the people,” he encouraged. ” We are far more mighty. Hold on tight & keep organizing. Drown out the noise. Keep pushing forward. The only way to freedom is forward.”
The “13 Going On 30” star’s hot take was ripped apart by social media commenters. “Sounds awful sedition-y there, kiddo, to say a co-equal branch of government is illegitimate,” one person wrote.
“It would be a lot easier for you to just say you are throwing a tantrum because you don’t like the Constitution.”
Another scolded the affluent actor for pushing “socialism” on average Americans.
“Guy who gets paid tens of millions to be a CGI voice over would like to school the peasants on the glorious future that socialism will create for us. He keeps his money of course. That’s just assumed,” they posted.
Fellow actor Michael Imperioli, who famously played mobster Christopher Moltisanti in HBO smash hit “The Sopranos,” flipped out over the Supreme Court’s ruling in the 303 Creative LLC v Elenis case, which nixed a Colorado law that would have forced a Christian artist to create websites that go against her belief structure.
“I’ve decided to forbid bigots and homophobes from watching The Sopranos, The White Lotus, Goodfellas or any movie or tv show I’ve been in,” Imperioli posted on Instagram Saturday.

“Thank you Supreme Court for allowing me to discriminate and exclude those who I don’t agree with and am opposed to. USA! USA!” He continued.
“Hate and ignorance is not a legitimate point of view. … America is becoming dumber by the minute.”
Plenty of commenters had dissenting views on the actor’s opinion. “Michael you’re one of my favorite actors but if someone is gay would you want a homophobe be forced to make their cake?” Someone countered.
“They won’t put as much effort into it and they could even do something to hurt the couple. Nobody should be forced to serve anyone for a reason.”
“It’s her beliefs,” another added. “Bet you wouldn’t challenge a Muslim on their beliefs and take on homosexuality would you[?]”
