Spotify podcaster Joe Rogan blasted the DOJ’s latest indictment of former President Donald Trump as “the actions of a banana republic.
Trump was once again indicted by a federal grand jury on Tuesday in Washington, D.C., on four counts that tied back to the Capitol riots on January 6, 2021.
He pleaded not guilty on Thursday to conspiracy to defraud the U.S., conspiracy to obstruct an official proceeding, obstruction and attempt to obstruct an official proceeding, and conspiracy against rights.
Rogan said that the latest round of charges against the 45th President have invigorated his supporters.

“Yeah, and the people that love Trump, they feel like this is a witch hunt. And they feel like all the things he’s getting indicted for are bullshit anyway,” Rogan stated.
“Not only does it not work, but it kind of hardens their position that he’s being targeted. And these are like the the actions of a banana republic.”
Trump commented on the arraignment while he was at Ronald Reagan National Airport to take a flight on his jet to Bedminster, New Jersey.
He said it was a “very sad day for America” when “persecution of a political opponent” was happening.
“This was never supposed to happen in America,” he remarked. “This is the persecution of the person that’s leading by very, very substantial numbers in the Republican primary.”
“Leading Biden by a lot. So if you can’t beat him, you persecute him or you prosecute him,” he added. “We can’t let this happen in America.”
Rogan had the same take as Trump, while speaking to guest Patrick Bet-David on his latest episode.
“You take your political rival and you arrest him and specifically, you charge him with things that you’re f**king guilty of, like the the the documents,” he accused.
“Like the classified documents, Biden’s guilty of the exact same issue.”
Joe Rogan slams the Biden administration, accusing them of turning the US into a banana republic by arresting Trump, and says Ron DeSantis can't compete with Trump:

Bet-David said that between the Department of Justice’s repeated attacks and Russiagate, the Democrats are used similar tactics to attempt to cripple Trump’s campaigns.
“You got to respect the level of deceptiveness that’s been used,” he remarked.
“I mean, look at what Hillary did going and saying, ‘Hey, it’s Russia,’ but it was really what she was doing, another using a similar play as well.”
During the episode, Rogan blasted Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis for “f**kin’ up” his standing as a top-notch governor by launching a a failing campaign for the presidency.
“He can’t compete with Trump, he just doesn’t have the personality,” he began. “Trump just has this cult behind him. I mean, these people that love Trump, that he’s their hero.”
“The things that he says, the bombastic personality, the way he can control a room, the way he speaks in an arena of screaming fans and makes people laugh and says things that they want to hear. DeSantis can’t do that.”
Rogan said that “people loved his position” as governor, but is tarnishing his legacy by running for the nation’s highest office, which he believes is something DeSantis should have never attempted.
“I don’t think he can beat Trump … If Trump’s not in jail, he can’t beat him.”
