Singer Cher said she would leave the country if former President Donald Trump wins his 2024 bid, but unfortunately didn’t follow through the last time.
Just like her song, Cher claimed her body’s not “Strong Enough” to handle Trump retaking the Oval office.
“I almost got an ulcer the last time,” she told The Guardian this week. “If he gets in, who knows? This time I will leave [the United States].”
But her promise rings hollow after failing to secure a seat on one of Elon Musk’s SpaceX rockets.
@gabeAlfassy IF HE WERE TO BE ELECTED,IM MOVING TO JUPITER š

In June 2015, she tweeted that “if he were to be elected, I’m moving to Jupiter.”
She parroted the assertion while at a fundraising event for then Democratic challenger Hillary Clinton in 2016.
āIām gonna have to leave the planet,ā she reportedly said according to Page Six.
Cher has been a long-time Trump critic, and their feud began long before he got into politics.
The hilariously got into a Twitter fight in 2012, after the “Believe” singer was furious to find out that retailer Macy’s carried his brand.
“Ill never go to Macy’s again,” Cher dramatically tweeted in all caps on Nov. 11, 2012.
Iāll NEVER GO TO MACYāS AGAIN !
I didnt know they sold Donald Trumpās Line! If they donāt care that they sell products from a LOUDMOUTH— Cher (@cher) November 12, 2012
“I didn’t know they sold Donald Trump’s line,” she explained. “If they don’t care that they sell products from a loudmouth.”
She went on to call him a “racist cretin” and claimed he would “lie like ‘his rug’ to get some cheap press.”
RACIST CRETIN,WHOāD LIE LIKE āHIS RUGāTO GET SOME CHEAP PRESS ! I CANT BELIEVE MACYāS THINKS HEāS THE RIGHT āMANā 2 REPRESENT THEIR NAME !
— Cher (@cher) November 12, 2012
“I can’ believe Macy’s thinks he’s the right ‘man’ to represent their name,” the singer followed up the next day.
Trump fired back in his typical style, taking shots that sting because they’re based in fact.
“I don’t wear a ‘rug’ it’s mine,” he snapped back. “And I promise not to talk about your massive plastic surgeries that didn’t work.”
.@cher–I donāt wear a ārugāāitās mine. And I promise not to talk about your massive plastic surgeries that didnāt work.

“Cher should spend more time focusing on her family and dying career,” he fired.
They memorably got into another social media spat in April 2019, when the then president deigned to agree with her.
“I understand helping struggling immigrants, but my city (Los Angeles) isn’t taking care of its own,” she complained.
.@cher should spend more time focusing on her family and dying career!

“What about the 50,000+ citizens who live on the streets,” Cher continued, noting that they lived below the poverty line and went hungry.
“If my state can’t take care of its own,” she added, noting that many of the homeless are veterans. “How can it take care of more?”
Seeing some common ground, Trump retweeted her post, and added “I finally agree with Cher!”

He found out that no Twitter mention goes unpunished, when she unsurprisingly lashed out.
“I agree,” she mocked. That Dems still don’t get it, they’re playing politics and Trump’s playing butcher your enemies and create constant mayhem.”
“He’s [an] ignorant thug with a lizard brain that guarantees his survival above all else,” she continued. “If Dems [are] waiting for him to have an epiphany, good f–king luck.”

Later that year, Cher blasted Trump for withdrawing troops from northern Syria.
“Trump promotes ethnic cleansing,” she accused, likening the abandonment of the U.S. allied Kurds to allowing “Hitler to annihilate six million Jews.”

“Trump’s action brings ISIS back,” the singer added. “He has the codes.
In another tweet, she blasted the administration for considering leaving troops behind to protect Syrian oil fields.
“U.S. discussing proposal to leave troops around Syriaās oil fields,” she wrote. “Can’t protect people, but we can protect oil.
“Trump makes mercenaries out of brave soldiers for oil,” Cher added. “Trump’s a w—e. Nancy [Pelosi] could kick his mammoth a– and should be president.”
