Vice President Kamala Harris’ model stepdaughter raises cash for Gaza fund despite dad being Jewish, while Susan Sarandon and other celebrities back Palestine.
Ella Emhoff, 24, the daughter of First Gentleman Doug Emhoff, who is Jewish, is promoting a fundraiser in support of the “urgent relief for Gaza’s children.”
Through her 315,000 followers on Instagram, Emhoff has helped raise over $7.8 million for the Palestinian Children’s Relief Fund by putting the fundraiser’s link in her bio, though it is unclear how much she has raised through her support.
The vice president’s step daughter was criticized by New Jersey Republican congressman Jeff Van Drew for promoting the fundraiser.
Ella Emhoff, daughter of Jewish @SecondGentleman @DouglasEmhoff and step-daughter of @VP @KamalaHarris, is fundraising for @ThePCRF, an NGO with terror ties and a CEO with a history of antisemitism and Israel hatred.

“It’s of tremendous concern and I find it abhorrent,” Van Drew said.
“To be honest with you, I am kind of stunned by it. It’s disturbing to the maximum degree.”
Emhoff was also panned by internet pundits for supporting the cause.
“Vice President Kamala Harris’ stepdaughter Ella Emhoff is helping raise money for a Gaza fundraiser that could end up in the hands of Hamas,” Collin Rugg criticized.
“Not surprising considering her step-mom is one of the most incompetent people in Washington DC.”
“While the fundraiser is reportedly for Palestinian children, some believe it will end up in the hands of Hamas terrorists,” he added.
You don’t have to be Palestinian to care about what’s happening in Gaza. I stand with Palestine. No one is free until everyone is free. https://t.co/23JHFbuf5K

Actress Susan Sarandon made it very clear where her support lies over the weekend, when she shared post from the Palestinian Feminist Collective.
The tweet include a photo of Oscar-winning actress on stage holding a sign with other activists during March4Palestine event in Washington D.C.
“You don’t have to be Palestinian to care about what’s happening in Gaza,” she captioned the retweet. “I stand with Palestine. No one is free until everyone is free.”
According to Breibart, it’s not the first time the liberal star lent her celebrity to the cause.
In 2021, Sarandon reportedly supported Palestinian supermodel Bella Hadid, who accused Israel of “apartheid.”
“I stand with the Palestinian People fighting against the apartheid government of Netanyahu and pray for the Israeli people that they too, will enjoy peace,” Sarandon posted at the time.
“I also support @bellahadid for having the bravery to stand in solidarity with her people. That can be lonely.”
Macklemore speaks at the “Free Palestine” rally in DC:
“They told me to do my research, that it’s too complex, to be silent … In the last 3 weeks, I’ve gone back & I have done some research, I don’t know everything, but I know enough to know that this is a genocide.” pic.twitter.com/QQcjZQcSFQ

“Thrift Shop” singer Macklemore also went to the same Washington D.C. rally that Sarandon and 100,000 pro-Palestinian supporters attended in protest of President Joe Biden’s support of Israel.
Macklemore, who’s real name is Benjamin Hammond Haggerty, gave a speech at the event, where he accused Israel of “genocide.”
“They told me to be quiet, they told me to do my research, to go back, that it’s too complex to say something, to be silent in this moment,” he remarked after acknowledging he wasn’t the most “qualified” person to speak at the rally.
“In the last three weeks, I’ve gone back and I have done some research, I’m teachable… I don’t know everything, but I know enough to know that this is a genocide,” Macklemore stated.
Meanwhile, progressive HBO host Bill Maher blasted fellow liberals for “this level of just gut-wrenching antisemitism” and standing behind Hamas after their brutal siege on Israel on Oct. 7.
“I must admit, I don’t think of myself as a naive person [but] I’ve been surprised. It was like a volcano that blew,” he said on the latest episode of “Real Time With Bill Maher.”

“I mean, just the people in the United States who [are like] ‘F*** Israel!’ You know, the ‘Any means necessary,'” he continued.
“I just, I don’t know where this comes from. I guess it’s ancient. Obviously, the hatred of the Jews goes way back. But I was taken aback by this.”
Panelist Ian Bremmer insisted that social media was behind the behavior and Maher questioned if that was the answer.
He also asked why the liberal youth were leading the charge of rampant antisemitism in the United States.
“Why does this arouse, especially among young people?” Maher continued.
“I mean, the young people who hated Trump because he wouldn’t condemn the people with the tiki torches talking about Jews – you’re the ones with the tiki torches now!”
