Monica Lewinsky went viral for taking a Taylor Swift-themed jab at former President Bill Clinton.
On Wednesday, the former infamous White House intern jumped on a social media trend that references one of the pop star’s new songs, “Who’s Afraid of Little Old Me?” from her recently dropped album, “The Tortured Poet’s Department.”
Social media users have recently been posting a line from the song, “you wouldn’t last an hour in the asylum where they raised me,” with an image that references one of their past personal experiences.
Lewinsky blew X, formerly Twitter, user’s minds with her contribution, which was dubbed “the tweet of the year.”

In a post that went absolutely viral with 16.3 million views and counting, Lewinsky captioned a picture of the White House with the lyric from the song.
Lewinsky’s post referenced the absolute political scandal she found herself embroiled after having an affair with then-President Clinton in the 1990s.
The affair led to Clinton’s 1998 impeachment on charges of lying under oath and obstruction of justice.
He was eventually acquitted by the Senate and able to serve his remaining time in office, while Lewinsky, who was in her early 20s at the time, was left to become a national punchline.
She has since reinvented herself as an anti-bullying activist, giving a Ted Talk in 2015 titled “The Price of Shame.”
During the speech, Lewinsky challenged the internet to take on “our culture of humiliation,” after becoming “patient zero of losing a personal reputation on a global scale almost instantaneously,” following the sex scandal.
She has since managed to win over the internet with her pithy social commentary, and has been labeled the “queen” of the Swift trend, with X users urging others to not bother continuing the challenge after she blew it out of the water with her response.
“OK… I think those of us who are of a certain age can agree that this wins that particular prompt/meme,” someone replied. “Well played Ms. Lewinsky. Well played.”
“Your ability to have a sense of humor over what they did to you is pretty inspirational,” another added.
“If Hillary retweeted this, the internet would break,” one X user pointed out.
The former Secretary of State stayed away from the trend and remained mum on mentioning Lewinsky, but did break cover to issue a dire warning about how Trump retaking the White House will impact the environment.
“What’s at stake for our climate in this November’s elections? Absolutely everything,” she tweeted on Monday.
The article attached to her post predicts that predicted that Trump returning to power “could add 4 [billion tons] of U.S. emissions by 2030.”

“If Trump secures a second term, the U.S. would also very likely miss its global climate pledge by a wide margin, with emissions only falling to 28% below 2005 levels by 2030,” Carbon Brief’s report read.
She also alleged that Trump aspires to be like Russian President Vladimir Putin and would be thrilled to “kill his opposition.”
“Trump was like, you know, just gaga over Putin because Putin does what Trump would like to do: Kill his opposition, imprison his opposition, drive journalists and others into exile, rule without any check or balance,” Clinton said on an episode of the “Democracy Docket” podcast.
“That’s what Trump really wants,” she added. “And so we have to be very conscious of how he sees the world because, in that world, he only sees strongmen leaders.”
“He sees Putin, he sees Xi, he sees Kim Jong-un in North Korea,” Clinton claimed.
“Those are the people he is modeling himself after, and we’ve been down this road in our, you know, world history. We sure don’t want to go down that again.”
Clinton has repeatedly accused Trump of doing Russia’s bidding since he defeated her in the 2016 presidential election, which she has claimed that Putin interfered in.
“My view, having negotiated with Putin, and knowing one of the reasons he went after me is because he knew I would deal with him in an appropriate way,” she told podcast host host Marc Elias on Friday.
“And Trump would basically do whatever he wanted, it’s really important to think about what could happen to our world with Trump back in the White House.”
