Howard Stern lost his mind while addressing “conspiracies” that the White House had scripted his recent softball interview with President Joe Biden.
Stern zeroed in on YouTuber David Pakman’s speculation that the administration might have nudged the shock jock toward specific policy discussions, firmly denying that Biden’s team had any control over the conversation’s direction.
Pakman raised Stern’s hackles by hinting that the White House orchestrated an interview question about a new policy aimed at obligating airlines to refund passengers immediately for any canceled flights.
Stern clarified that he had asked the question after having a discussion with one of his show’s producers about the April 24 mandate, which the Biden administration touted as a policy that will “save consumers over half a billion dollars every year in airline fees.”

“Here’s what happened. When Joe Biden came in, the day before [producer] John Hein and I were talking about some of the accomplishments that we admire that have gone on in the past four years, and John says to me, ‘Hey, Howard, did you hear what Joe Biden did with the airlines?'” Stern recalled.
In light of rumors about Biden possibly wearing an earpiece during the SiriusXM interview, Stern was quick to dismiss the theory.
“Cut the conspiracies,” he retorted. “You’ve gotta f***ing be kidding me! First of all, we controlled all the audio.”
Stern also shared that he didn’t intend for their discussion to veer deeply into political or policy debates, when he asked to interview Biden.
“My whole goal was not to sit there and talk politics. I’m not into that. I don’t want to debate policy,” he remarked, revealing his desire was simply to help his audience understand the president on a deeper level.
“My only agenda [was] I would like to get to know the president because I suspect he’s a very meaningful, very thoughtful guy,” the shock jock commented.
The president’s chat with Stern wasn’t free from controversial moments, despite the host lobbing easy questions at the aging commander-in-chief.
Biden regaled Stern with stories of his youthful escapades that were less-than truthful, including boasting about rescuing “half dozen” kids from drowning during his stint as a lifeguard.
Biden also reminisced about the attention he received from admirers during his Senate days, recounting how after being listed as one of the “10 Most Eligible Bachelors,” he found himself inundated with “very salacious pictures” from female fans, which he claims to have turned over to the Secret Service.
The president’s recollection of his wild time during the swinging 70s faced online scrutiny, as Senators were not permitted Secret Service protection, which Biden only received when he became the Vice President in 2008.
Biden’s narrative veered into disputed territory another time during the interview, when he said he was arrested during his teen years for “standing on the porch with a black family” during protests against desegregation.
During the interview, Biden also claimed he was second place in “state scoring” during his high school football days.
In a separate blunder this week, the president verbally fumbled while honoring the 2023 WNBA champions, the Las Vegas Aces, at the White House on Thursday.

Biden mistakenly lauded Aces legend Candace Parker as “one of the greatest all-time coaches,” despite her fame as a player, not a coach—a slip-up that caused some uneasy looks amongst the players.
Earlier in the same week, Biden shared a dubious account of a theology professor from his Delaware Catholic high school days who purportedly was drafted to the Green Bay Packers, but passed on the opportunity.
“He decided to become a priest before that, so he didn’t go,” Biden stated. “But every single solitary Monday that Green Bay won, we got the last period of the day off.”
According to internet investigators, the only Reilly that was drafted by the organization was an Air Force general that the team set their sights on in 1947.
The story is a deviation on one he told in 2021, which claimed that his high school administrator, Father Justin E. Diny, was the one who granted the boys a get-out-of-class free card.
‘Every Sunday the Packers won, the headmaster … Diny would get on PA system and say, “Gentlemen no last period today,” he reportedly said at the time.
