Actor Robert De Niro took a starring role in the Biden-Harris campaign’s latest anti-Trump ad, calling the former president power-grabbing a “dictator.”
De Niro was tapped to star in a dramatic 30-second ad spot that casts Trump as an “out of control” villain who is relentlessly seeking “revenge.”
“From midnight tweets, to drinking bleach, to tear-gassing citizens, and staging a photo op. We knew Trump was out of control when he was president,” De Niro narrated over images and videos Trump.
The Biden ad highlighted some of the 45th president’s most controversial statements, including a remark he made early on in the pandemic at a White House press briefing, where he spit-balled about potentially using a “disinfectant” as a drug to kill the virus.

“I see the disinfectant that knocks it out in a minute, one minute. And is there a way we can do something like that by injection inside or almost a cleaning?” he commented at the time.
“As you see, it gets in the lungs, it does a tremendous number on the lungs, so it would be interesting to check that.”
The “Raging Bull” star theatrically heightened the tension with a warning that Trump wanted a dictatorship, rather than a second term.
“Then he lost the 2020 election – and snapped. Desperately trying to hold onto power. Now he’s running again,” he continued.
“This time threatening to be a dictator. To terminate the Constitution.”
In December of last year, Trump poked fun at critics during a town hall moderated by Fox News’ Sean Hannity, when he said that he would not be a dictator if retakes the White House “except for day one.”
The advertisement, which will air on television and digital platforms ahead of the pair’s first debate in Atlanta on June 27, cut to past footage of Trump speaking at a rally, when he told the crowd: “If I don’t get elected it’s gonna be a bloodbath.”
According to Fox News, Trump’s campaign has said the line was taken out of context, and he had actually been referring to what could happen to the automotive industry if Biden remained in power.
“Biden’s policies will create an economic bloodbath for the auto industry and autoworkers,” a campaign spokesperson said about Trump’s March remarks.
“Trump want’s revenge, and he’ll stop at nothing to get it,” De Niro concluded as images of the Jan. 6 Capitol riot played across the screen.
A Biden campaign spokesperson told NBC News that the advertisement was meant to show voters the “clear contrast” between the ex and current president.
Trump is running to regain power for himself, Joe Biden is running to serve you, the American people,” Julie Chavez Rodriguez told the outlet on Friday.
It’s unsurprising that the Biden campaign had De Niro narrate the video, as he has nothing but vitriolic comments to make about Trump in the past.
Earlier this month, he went on such profanity-laden rant about the presumptive GOP nominee, that producers had to turn of his microphone during a live broadcast.
During an appearance on ABC’s “The View” De Niro complained that he couldn’t understand why American’s were not taking the threat of Trump being reelected “seriously.”
“I think of Hitler and Mussolini, ‘Oh, they’re fools and clowns.’ I hear it from some people. I mean, who does not think that this guy is going to do exactly what he says he’s going to do?” he questioned.
“He’s done it already. And then what? We’re going to sit around and say, what, ‘We told you so?’” the “Deer Hunter” star noted. “It’s going to happen.”
“If he gets elected, it’s going to change this country for everybody,” he heatedly added.
“They might think that it’s going to make their life better, or they just want to, excuse my French, they just want to f— with the rest of the country.”
The show’s producers cut De Niro’s microphone, but when they turned it back on, he was already raging about how Trump supporters are for standing behind him with “anger and hate.”
Robert De Niro whines about people “not taking [Trump] seriously” as a threat to the nation because he’s just like “Hitler and Mussolini.”

“I see what a hateful, mean-spirited, awful thing he is… He’s vicious. Why will he not do that in this country? He’s already done it,” he hissed.
De Niro claimed that Trump only wants to do the “worst that he possibly could” to show the country he can, just to “f–k with us.”
His slogan should be ‘F— America, I want to f— America,’” the left-wing actor concluded.
