YouTuber Logan Paul said that he believed former President Donald Trump has “become a martyr” during their recent sit-down.
Paul made the remarks when he interviewed Trump on his “Impaulsive” podcast, which was released on Thursday.
He told the former president that he thinks he has “become a martyr of sorts” following his conviction on 34 counts of falsifying business records by a Manhattan jury on May 30.
“You got these felony convictions, and a lot of them, like more than Al Capone, right? And there was an uprising and people showed you their support with their donations,” Paul said.

Trump’s campaign and the Republican National Committee raised $141 million, bolstered by over $50 million in online donations in the 24 hours after he was found guilty.
“And a lot of people are saying it points out the unjust nature of America’s justice system,” Paul noted.
“My question is, if that is your belief, if that is their belief, why do you have the desire to give your time and energy to a country or a system that’s trying to take you down?”
Trump said that the 2020 election “had a terrible result” and his loss was a “disgraceful” outcome that the nation can’t let “happen again” this year.
He blasted President Joe Biden as “the worst president we’ve ever had” and said he was allowing “millions” of mentally ill and formerly incarcerated immigrants to flood through the southern border.
Trump told Paul that the he had “fixed” the southern border, which he left “in really good shape” at the end of his term, with the import of drugs “at the lowest point in years.”
“They give the death penalty in China, you sell drugs. I said, ‘I’d like you to give the death penalty to people that are making fentanyl and sending it over to our country.’ And he was going to do that. And then we had the election result. And of course Biden never picked up that conversation,” Trump remarked. “So we have to be very tough on the border.”
The ex-president claimed that if he had won the 2020 election, Russia’s invasion of Ukraine “would have never happened,” because he “got along very well with” Putin, despite being “tough with him.”
“It’s just a shame. All so many dead people. You look at just the soldiers, it’s a half a million soldiers between the both countries,” he commented.
“But so many dead people, so many towns and villages and buildings and all, I mean magnificent culture just being wiped out,” the 45th president added.
Trump also noted that it was “important” for him to face off with Biden in the June 27 debate on CNN.
In an entertaining segment of the interview, Paul asked Trump about aliens. The former president admitted that while he doesn’t personally believe in them, he has met reputable people who do.
“Am I a believer? No, I probably can’t say I am,” he remarked. “But I have met with people that are serious, people that say there are some really strange things that they see flying around out there.”
When Mike Majlak, co-host of “Impaulsive,” asked if information about aliens could have been hidden from him while he was in office, Trump replied, “I guess so,” and referred to a “deep state.”
“They have people that are very smart and very solid [who] have said they believe there was something out there and, you know, it makes sense that they could be,” he conceded.
“It’s very believable. It’s very possible that there is something,” the former president added. “And why wouldn’t it be, you know, you take a look at the universe, and you see all of the different planets and you see this, you know, look at, we are one relatively small planet, why wouldn’t it be on a planet that’s, you know, 400 times the size?”
During the interview, Trump gifted Paul with a T-shirt featuring his mugshot. “Is this your mugshot? No way!” the host exclaimed. “You’re a gangster!”
Trump quipped that he has been “reduced” to pushing the shirts after being forced to fight legal battles on multiple fronts, but noted that the shirt “sells.”
“Well Elvis had one, Frank Sinatra had one — but we’ve eclipsed them,” the presumed GOP candidate commented about his mugshot. “A long time ago we’ve eclipsed them.”
Meanwhile, Jake Paul, Logan’s professional boxer brother, told Fox News host Jesse Watters that Biden and the Democratic Party “can’t fool” Gen Z voters.
Watters asked if he Paul would vote for Biden if the Democrats provide him with “free beer.”

The Democratic Party’s new super PAC “Won’t PAC Down” aims to engage voters under 30 through celebrity endorsements and pro-Biden content, including dance parties, free beer, and contraceptive pill giveaways.
“Man, it’s gonna, it’ll take more than that,” the fighter chuckled. “But it doesn’t have to do with, to me it doesn’t have to do with Democrat or Republican.”
“It’s about which president is gonna fight for us and whose gonna represent us the best way possible,” the younger Paul brother continued. “And that’s really what the young people in America want.”
He said that young voters “don’t want all this marketing,” they want solutions to the issues plaguing the nation.
“This is the smartest generation,” Paul added. “We’ve had the most access to information and knowledge out of any other generation, so you can’t fool us. So, we just want the truth and we want authenticity.”
