Wrestling icon Hulk Hogan believes he has the solutions to America’s issues, making his case for a Vice Presidential run.
Appearing on NewsNation’s Dan Abrams Live, the 70-year-old discussed the upcoming election between Donald Trump and Joe Biden, who debated Thursday night.
During the debate, Biden, 81, struggled significantly, often tripping over his words, misspeaking, and losing his train of thought, crushing Democratic hopes.
Regardless of who wins in November, Hogan, who supported Barack Obama in 2008 and Mitt Romney in 2012, is ready to step up as Vice President.
When asked if ever envisioned himself as a politician, Hogan replied, “Hey, you never know. Right now, I’d make a great Vice President, brother, because I do have common sense. I do know right from wrong.”
“I just think a flat tax would be a fair play for everybody here,” he remarked on Wednesday. “And if I was the VP, and then all of a sudden I roll right into that top spot, four years later, you get 12 good years out of me. And then all of a sudden, we would really be on track.”
Despite discussing fiscal solutions, Hogan didn’t actually endorse Trump or Biden during the interview.
“You know, at the end of the day, I’m just wanting somebody to straighten out the gas prices,” Hogan noted. “The food prices, our nation’s security. I want peace in the Middle East.”
“I just want somebody with common sense that knows right from wrong, brother,” he went on. “That’s why I wanted to be [Vice] President.”
Hogan was actually right on point predicting what would happen at Thursday night’s live debate ahead of the event.
“Joe’s a little laid back. Sometimes he’ll have the Joe moments where he’ll space out and you can basically describe America in one word, you know, and then he won’t really say the word,” he forecasted.
“But I’ve seen him when he was addressing Congress and stuff, the Union address where he was on point,” the former wrestler conceded.
“So, it’s going to be interesting, you know, I know he’s taken a whole week to get ready. And Donald Trump’s running around hitting all the breakfast places, and tipping everybody, so I just don’t know.”
Hogan held out hope that Biden would be “on his game” instead of “rocking back on his heels,” then noted he wanted Trump to do “the same thing,” because he want’s “the best man to win” the upcoming election.
This was the moment the debate ended.

Biden was not “on his game,” when he concluded a rambling statement with, “We finally beat Medicare,” before being cut off by moderators.
On the other hand, Trump got plenty of shots in, at one point saying he didn’t understand Biden’s comments on the border. “I don’t know if he knows what he said either,” the 45th president quipped.
While Biden spox claimed that his soft, raspy voice was due to a cold around an hour in, even when he wasn’t talking, the president seemed to be staring off into space.
Trump crushed the debate, frequently interrupted Biden, accusing him of being a criminal and spreading misinformation, often without a response from back from the president.
Panic ensued among Democrats following Biden’s poor performance. “Democrats just committed collective suicide,” said one party strategist to NBC News.
“Biden sounds hoarse, looks tired and is babbling. He is reaffirming everything voters already perceived. President Biden can’t win. This debate is a nail in the political coffin.“
Hogan, however, remains indifferent to who takes office as long as they can fix the country.
“Either Rock or Jesse Ventura,” he said about fellow former wrestlers who have the potential of making it to the Oval Office one day.
“Or it could be anybody at this point but I’m looking for that truth teller to come in and straighten this country out,” he said.
In an interview on “Fox & Friends” earlier this month, Hogan echoed these sentiments.
“We need somebody in there that’s got some common sense, you know what I’m saying?” he told the panel.
“So if you need a president or a vice president, I’ll volunteer and take this country over, and I’ll rule with an iron fist.”
Hogan had considered a Florida Senate run in 2018, with many urging him to run for office, but he ultimately decided against it. “I know right from wrong, brother!” the former Slim Jim spokesperson said about his potential as a politician.
For now, he’s content to attempt to heal the nation with his Real American Beer brand.
“I had this crazy idea because I saw how competitive the beer industry was, and I saw what happened with Bud Light and their whole promotion that crashed and burned. I saw this crazy open lane,” Hogan remarked about Bud Light’s disastrous partnership with transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney in 2023.
Hogan’s Real American Beer cans feature an image of him waving an American flag. His goal? “Bring America back together, one beer at a time” — across party lines and whatever else is dividing the country.
