Stephen King criticized Fox News host Jesse Watters for his commentary about men who intend to vote for Vice President Kamala Harris in the upcoming November election.
During a segment on Fox News’ The Five, Watters insinuated that men who support Harris have “mommy issues” or desire to transition into women.
“To be a man and vote for a woman, just because she’s a woman, is either childish, that person has mommy issues or they’re just trying to be accepted by other women,” he remarked.
“And I heard the scientists say the other day that when a man votes for a woman, he actually transitions into a woman,” Watters quipped.

“Oh, is that right? That’s what the scientists say?” Co-star Dana Perino mocked back.
“Yeah, that’s what the scientists say,” Watters retorted.
He also questioned why men would vote for Democrats during the segment.
“It’s not the party of virtue, security, it’s not the party of strength, it’s definitely not the party of family,” he snarked to the horror of co-star Jessica Tarlov.
“So first of all, everything Jesse said was wrong. I just want that on the record there,” she stated.
“What? Name one thing!” he replied.
This segment drew the ire of horror author Stephen King, who shared the video clip with his more than 7 million followers, commenting, “This is weird.”
“Anyone who watched the full segment can obviously tell that he was joking, which was also made clear later in the discussion,” a Fox News spokesperson said in a statement.
This incident isn’t the first time King has taken aim at Fox News. In March, he blasted The Five after a panelist called Joe Biden “Old Yeller” for his mounting number of verbal gaffes.
The Five on Fox News is calling Biden Old Yeller. Right nickname, wrong candidate. Trump is the one who thinks he’s running against Obama.

“The Five on Fox News is calling Biden Old Yeller. Right nickname, wrong candidate,” King tweeted. “Trump is the one who thinks he’s running against Obama.”
Trump mixed up Biden and former President Barack Obama during a March rally in Richmond, Virginia.
“Shortly after we win the presidency, I will have the horrible war between Russia and Ukraine settled,” he told the crowd.

“I know them both very well and we will restore peace through strength. Get that war settled. It’s a bad war,” Trump added.
“And Putin has so little respect for Obama that he’s starting to throw around the nuclear word.”
After endorsing Biden for the 2024 election, King shifted his support to Kamala Harris after Biden dropped out of the race on July 21 due to concerns about his age from fellow Democrats.
On Thursday, the “IT” writer urged Republican voters to “hold your nose” and vote for Harris in the November election.
He posted that Trump is “dangerous” and should not be re-elected, referring to the former president as “a child.”
“Republicans: If you have to hold your nose to vote for Harris, please do so. Trump is dangerous; a child doing a tantrum. There’s only one adult in this contest. It’s Harris,” he tweeted.

King’s call to action came a day after Trump faced backlash for his remarks at the National Association for Black Journalists (NABJ) convention in Chicago, where he questioned Harris’ racial heritage, suggesting she “turned Black.”
Trump commented, “She was always of Indian heritage, and she was always only promoting Indian heritage. I didn’t know she was Black until a number of years ago when she happened to turn Black and now she wants to be known as Black.”
ABC News senior congressional correspondent Rachel Scott, who moderated the event, rebutted Trump’s claims, stating, “She’s always identified as a Black woman. She went to a historically Black college.”
Trump responded to Scott’s correction by saying, “I respect either one, but she obviously doesn’t. Because she was Indian all the way and all of a sudden she made a turn and she went—she became a Black person. I think somebody should look into that too.”
At NABJ, Trump screwed the pooch and stepped out the door. His supporters don't care (many won't even know), and Trump himself doesn't care. All he wants is to yank back the spotlight from Kamala Harris to where it belongs: him.

When asked if Harris might be a diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) hire, Trump said, “I don’t know. Could be. There are some.”
King, commenting on the NABJ event, stated that Trump “screwed the pooch” with his replies.
“His supporters don’t care (many won’t even know), and Trump himself doesn’t care,” he added. “All he wants is to yank back the spotlight from Kamala Harris to where it belongs: him.”
