Rob Reiner Praises Harris For Letting People Protest At The DNC Then Violence Breaks Out

Director Rob Reiner proved he’s still a Meathead when he commended the Harris campaign for endorsing anti-Israel protesters’ freedom to demonstrate at the Democratic National Convention (DNC) on Monday, before violent protests broke out.

The radically far-left Hollywood liberal shockingly spoke to conservative news outlet Fox News on the day one of the DNC, not long after protesters breached multiple barriers and almost compromised the event’s security zone.

When asked about his view on the protests, Reiner responded, “Well, that’s what’s great about America.”

“That we have the right to protest, and that we give everybody the freedom to protest. It’s in the Constitution.”

“And this campaign is about protecting the Constitution and protecting those people’s right to protest outside,” he added.

Thousands of protesters have flooded Chicago, accusing President Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris of supporting a “genocide” in Gaza by supplying arms to Israel during it’s war with Hamas.

On Monday, Demonstrators carried flags with Hamas’ insignia and posters calling for a “global intifada.”

Protesters were observed shaking fences mere feet from the United Center, where the main events of the DNC happened.

Police pushed activists back beyond the security perimeter as they threw water bottles and their signs at cops.

On Tuesday night, dozens of anti-Israel protesters fought with police officers, while others burned an American flag near the Israeli consulate, close to the Democratic National Convention.

“If you believe that a message was sent to the DNC by the city-approved and peace-policed march, than stay home tonight,” said the anarchist group “Behind Enemy Lines” regarding the mild first day of protests.

“If you think the people of Palestine require more, be at the Israeli consulate tonight. 7pm,” they added in an Instagram post on Tuesday afternoon.

A crowd of around 200 people gathered at the rally organized by Behind Enemy Lines and Samidoun, an organization with reported terrorist ties.

Speeches were brief during what quickly escalated into one of the most violent protests of the DNC.

“These are the enemy of the people and we must move on these motherf——,” a masked man said told the protesters.

The mob attempted to get through a line of riot police outside the consulate building, while the masked man hurled profanities about Israel and called cops “pigs.”

He disregarded police orders to shut down the protest and instead led followers to occupy a nearby street.

“Make them feel what Gaza feels!” one person howled over a microphone. “Make the DNC feel what Gaza feels! This f–king empire needs to burn to the ground!”

“CPD, go home or we’ll bring the war home!” the crowd chanted in response.

Some protesters set fire to the American flag in the middle of the street. Police issued a dispersal order around 8:30 p.m.

After they ignored the order police officers were seen tackling and arresting violent protesters.

56 people were arrested during the protest with two protesters and two police officers suffering from minor injuries.

22 of the people arrested were not from Chicago, with most of them in town from the West Coast.

The violence escalated on the last night of the DNC, with protesters clashing with riot police during the four-day-long event’s conclusion.

On Tuesday, Reiner took to X to spew his thoughts after Harris abandoned Chicago when the Obamas came into town to speak at a rally in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where the Republican National Convention was held last month.

“In a major take down of Donald Trump, Kamala Harris just addressed the DNC convention in Chicago from the same arena In Milwaukee where Trump accepted the Republican nomination. She is kicking his Criminal a**,” he tweeted.

Reiner got torched on social media for the commentary.

“The only problem with Kamala’s “major take down” of Trump in Milwaukee, is that she can’t “say it to his face”, being that she just p—-ied out of a debate with Trump on Fox,” one commenter replied.

“Sure she is lmao the only way democrats can win is to cheat, the only way the get the poor people and middle class to vote for them is to lie,” another added.

In another post on the social media platform, Reiner claimed that the presidential election would be about more than just choosing a party.

“This is the first election in American history where we are not choosing between a Democrat or a Republican,” he commented. “We are choosing either Democracy or Autocracy. I trust America will make the right choice.”

“We are choosing between a Patriot and a Communist,” someone immediately shot back.
