Hollywood liberal George Clooney lauded President Joe Biden for dropping out of the election as “selfless” after leading the charge to shame him into exiting months earlier.
Clooney wrote a damaging guest post for the New York Times in July titled, “I Love Joe Biden. But We Need a New Nominee,” which insisted that the Democratic Party could only win the 2024 election if they dropped ailing Biden for another candidate.
“Was he tired? Yes. A cold? Maybe. But our party leaders need to stop telling us that 51 million people didn’t see what we just saw,” he wrote after Biden’s mental decline became glaringly apparent during the June 27 debate against former President Donald Trump.
“We’re all so terrified by the prospect of a second Trump term that we’ve opted to ignore every warning sign,” the “Three Kings” star continued.

“This is about age. Nothing more. But also nothing that can be reversed. We are not going to win in November with this president.”
Clooney wrote the essay weeks after raising tens of millions for Biden at a star-studded fundraiser in Los Angeles.
After Clooney turned on Biden, Trump chimed in to shame the “fake movie actor” for turning “on Crooked Joe Biden like the rats they both are.”

In a scathing Truth Social post, Trump wrote that the actor “never came close to making a great movie,” and asked, “What does Clooney know about anything?”
“He uses the Democrat ‘talking point’ that Biden, the WORST President in the history of the United States, has ‘saved our Democracy,’” the Republican nominee continued.
“Clooney should get out of politics and go back to television,” Trump declared. “Movies never really worked for him!!!”
The actor made his latest remarks about Biden, who dropped out of the race shortly after the brutal essay was published, at the Venice Film Festival on Sunday.
“The person who should be applauded is the president who did the most selfless thing that anyone’s done since George Washington,” Clooney said to reporters while doing press for his new movie, “Wolfs,” according to the Washington Post.
“What should be remembered is the selfless act of someone who — you know, it’s very hard to let go of power. We know that. We’ve seen it all around the world,” he added.
“And for someone to say, ‘I think there’s a better way forward.’ All the credit goes to him … And all the rest of it will be long gone and forgotten.”
While Clooney didn’t mention the Harris-Walz ticket by name, he did note, “I’m just very proud of where we are in the state of the world, which many people are surprised by, and I think we’re all very excited for the future.”
Meanwhile, Oprah Winfrey, who was also at the Venice Film Festival on Thursday, claimed that Harris transitioned from “hiding in plain sight” as a presidential candidate to “embracing her true self,” after finally giving a pre-recorded interview to CNN’s Dana Bash.

“It’s like she shed the shadow,” Winfrey lauded. “It’s like she literally had been hiding in plain sight and she was in this prison where it feels like to me she did what millions of women all over the world do.”
Spotify podcaster Joe Rogan blasted the billionaire for remarks she made about have seeing and sometimes being on the receiving end of “racism and sexism and income inequality and division.”
“How about Oprah?” Rogan remarked. “Oprah was talking about her and Trump running together, and now she’s speaking to the DNC that he’s a threat to democracy and she’s up there talking about income inequality, like, ‘Hey lady… you’re rich as f**k.’ I’m like, ‘How is that equal?’”

After her speech, Trump’s social media team tweeted an image of a thank-you letter she wrote to the former president in 2000, which suggested she would be happy to be his running mate if he chose to go into politics.
Rogan also took aim at fabulously wealthy former first lady Michelle Obama, who lauded her parents for teaching her “the meaning of hard work and humility and decency,” without having the audacity to want more.
“She and my father didn’t aspire to be wealthy. In fact, they were suspicious of folks who took more than they needed,” Obama praised her parents during her DNC speech. “They understood that it wasn’t enough for their kids to thrive if everyone else around us was drowning.”
“And also when Michelle Obama was saying, you know, I think she was saying her mother or grandmother was always suspicious of people who took more than they needed, like, you are worth so much money,” Rogan sniped.
“That’s so crazy,” he added. “You did it on a civil servant’s salary which is insane.”
