Legendary actor Harrison Ford has come out in support of Kamala Harris for the presidency just days before the election kicks off.
The “Indiana Jones” star theatrically announced his backing for the vice president in a black-and-white video that saw him also strongly rebuke former President Donald Trump.
“I’ve been voting for 64 years, never really wanted to talk about it very much, but when dozens of former members of the Trump administration are sounding alarms, saying ‘for god sake don’t do this again’, you have to pay attention,” he began.
“They’re telling us something important, these aren’t soft people. They are governors, generals, standing up against the leader of the party they spent their lives advocating for,” Ford continued.
The “Star Wars” actor noted that for some, this election would mark the first time they’ll vote Democrat, driven by concerns over Trump’s potential return to the White House.
“For many of them, this will be the first time they’ve ever voted for someone who doesn’t have an R next to their name,” he went on.
“They know this really matters, the truth is this – Kamala Harris will protect your right to disagree with her about her policies or her ideas,” the actor claimed.
Ford said that under Harris, Americans will be allowed to “debate” her policies and “work on them together,” as the country moves forward.
“The other guy, he demands unquestioning loyalty, says he wants revenge,” he concluded. “I’m Harrison Ford. I’ve got one vote – same as anyone else – and I’m going to use it to move forward. I’m going to vote for Kamala Harris.”
In another clip tied to the Harris campaign, Ford mentioned that he disagrees with some of their policies, admitting they aren’t perfect.

“[But] these two people believe in the rule of law,” he said about the Harris/Walz ticket. “They believe in science. They believe that when you govern, you do so for all Americans.”
“They believe that we are in this together. These are ideas I believe in. These are people I can get behind,” Ford added.
The “Blade Runner” star expressed frustration with the current state of the country, cautioning that “Trump spent four years turning us against each other while embracing dictators and tyrants around the world.”
Speaking to those undecided about who they’re casting their ballot for, he advised, “If you’re still on the fence, here’s a good thing to look at: Who’s trying to scare you into voting for them?”
“Who’s trying to make you look at your neighbors with anger, suspicion, hatred, and who is encouraging you to build something with the people around you? It would be really nice to move forward.”
Meanwhile, New York Jets’ quarterback Aaron Rodgers tackled celebrities who are endorsing political candidates, suggesting they’re “bought and paid for by China.”
On his latest appearance on The Pat McAfee Show, Rodgers shared that he’s registered to vote in New Jersey, though he hasn’t disclosed his candidate choice.
The former Green Bay Packers’ star poked fun at the election timing, calling it the “trade deadline” since it coincides with the NFL’s trade window closing.
He mocked the endless amount of celebrity endorsements cropping up on social media, stating, “If you don’t know what to do on trade deadline, just ask your favorite celebrity. My favorite is when the celebrity is bought and paid for by China.”
He then blasted the Biden-Harris administration for sending billions in aid to Ukraine “I don’t have a problem with Ukraine, at all, I just think there are a lot of problems in the United States that $180 billion could maybe help instead of fighting a proxy war,” Rodgers remarked.
“You know, like natural disasters, and there’s FEMA is confiscating bottles of water and food supplies from people trying to help, like maybe let’s help those people out,” he continued.
“And obviously FEMA doesn’t have the best record when you go back to 2005 and Katrina, but I think there’s a lot of problems in the states, and there’s people hurting could use more than $600, $700,” he said about the one-time Critical Needs Assistance payment from the agency.
