Joe Rogan didn’t hold back after the hosts of “The View” stirred up controversy by claiming he’s less trustworthy than they are.
The panel’s discussion focused on concerns over unverified information spreading on social media, despite being fact-checked themselves during the same episode.
“That’s why people like our show because they know we are checked by ABC News,” Joy Behar remarked.
“We went from Walter Cronkite, basically, to this guy Joe Rogan who believes in dragons! I checked it!”
Joy Behar falsely claims The View gets fact-checked by ABC News, and points to the legal notes as an example.
But on their podcast last year executive producer Brian Teta claimed the notes are “not a correction.” LINK: https://t.co/QwzUsKn0r6 pic.twitter.com/ATcReWpifm— Nicholas Fondacaro (@NickFondacaro) November 21, 2024
Sunny Hostin, another co-host, chimed in, surprised and asking, “He believes in dragons?”
Behar doubled down, responding, “He believes in dragons! And he also thinks that they, dragons, I guess like dinosaur-type of animals, roamed the earth when people did! So, this is the type of really, really bad information going out there.”
Before Behar’s remarks, Sara Haines talked about how false claims are being amplified by foreign actors on social media platforms with intentions to disrupt democratic processes in the United States.
“People want us divided, and they aren’t just here in this country. There are foreign adversaries who are infiltrating our social media because it is prudent for us to stay that way,” she commented.
“So when you see something that really pisses you off [on social media], you should triple-check that one!”
Rogan wasted no time taking a hilarious jab back at Behar’s insane accusations.

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), he sarcastically declared, “Dragon Believer,” as his new title. He even updated his X bio to reflect the phrase, poking fun at the entire debacle.
The comments Behar referenced were from an earlier Rogan podcast episode, where he had mused about mythical creatures like dragons.
Rogan admitted he found myths fascinating, saying, “You know what I’m really fascinated with, is things that existed, like only in myth, but that every culture has — like dragons.”
While Rogan dismissed the idea of fire-breathing dragons, he speculated they might have been modeled after dangerous reptiles from ancient times.
“The question is whether they actually flew” he quipped.
Meanwhile, Thursday’s episode of “The View” stirred controversy for another reason. The co-hosts faced backlash over a segment targeting Donald Trump’s cabinet picks, during which they joked that accusations of sexual misconduct seemed to be a unifying trait for nominees.
Whoopi Goldberg opened the conversation with a blunt observation. “Sexual misconduct allegations seem not to matter anymore.”
“Seems like unless you have a sexual misconduct allegation, you can’t be in the cabinet,” she sniped.
“That’s what it’s looking like, because I mean, was it 11 people and maybe one of the 11 doesn’t have something going on?”
“It’s like, oh, let’s see, who’s accused of sexual assault? Put them in the cabinet!” Behar added. “And they’re like, ‘Pick me! Pick me!’”
Sara Haines suggested that including individuals with such accusations in prominent roles sends a damaging message.
“I would encourage them to separate sexual assault and sexual offenders from their MAGA agenda or you’re telling me this is part of your agenda,” she argued.
The group specifically mentioned former Representative Matt Gaetz and Defense Secretary nominee Pete Hegseth, both of whom faced separate allegations in the past.
The hosts criticized their inclusion in Trump’s potential team, but were then forced by their network to issue a clarification on-air.
After their cackling commentary, a stone-faced Hostin read out legal statements clarifying that both Gaetz and Hegseth had denied the allegations and had never been charged with any crimes.
Behar couldn’t resist trying to lighten the mood after the panelists embarrassed themselves by spreading the misinformation they had just accused other outlets of.
“Just call the show ‘Legal Note,” she quipped as the segment ended.
Dressed in an oversized sparkly silver suit, Sunny Hostin was forced to read ANOTHER legal note about the allegations against Matt Gaetz and a second legal note about Pete Hegseth.
