Ultra-left director Rob Reiner, a prolific Twitter troll, announced that he’s taking a break from social media drama and checking into a wellness facility, in the wake of President-elect Donald Trump’s recent election win.
The 77-year-old filmmaker, who has been vocal about his disdain for Trump and his supporters, didn’t hold back in a series of posts on Bluesky, the social media platform he left X, formerly Twitter, for.
Reiner slammed the people he labeled as “MAGA scum” for infiltrating the platform after he and several Hollywood names migrated there post-election.
“This platform is vile, racist, and evil,” he stated. “It did not take long for MAGA scum to come spread their lies.”

Shortly after, he followed up with another post, explaining his decision to step back from social media for a while.
“I have made the decision to take the next few days to check into a facility for peace and relaxation,” he announced. “No phones, social media, no trolls, just calmness to heal my pain.”
Reiner had initially celebrated his move to Bluesky, hoping to encounter a more liberal social media community.
“I have decided to move here for a less hateful experience,” he posted before the illusion was apparently shattered.
Meanwhile, Rosie O’Donnell lost her mind over MSNBC hosts Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski meeting with Trump at Mar-a-Lago. Venting her frustrations on TikTok, the comedian criticized the visit.
“Turn off the TV, because it’s like, impending doom, impending doom,” she dramatically ranted. “But without a warning, they’re just like, ‘Well, Trump nominated so and so.’ Not like, ‘Holy s***, people.”
“You’re not gonna believe this. We gotta do something.’ That’s what the newscaster should be saying,” O’Donnell added. “But they’re not. Hopeless.”

She didn’t stop there, calling out Scarborough and Brzezinski directly for going to Mar-a-Lago to “kiss the ring.”
“So, last time I ever watch ‘Morning Joe,’ period. End of statement. Unreal, unreal,” she added.
“For months you were telling us he’s the worst thing that could happen to this country and democracy. And then you go kiss his ring. Despicable. Despicable you; both of you.”
The meeting at Trump’s Florida estate was reportedly their first in seven years and caused quite the backlash among Democrats.
“For those asking why we would go speak to the president-elect during such fraught times, especially between us, I guess I would ask back – why wouldn’t we?” Brzezinski addressed their metting.
“Five years of political warfare has deeply divided Washington and the country. We have been as clear as we know how in expressing our deep concerns about President Trump’s actions and words in the coarsening of public debate.”
“But for nearly 80 million Americans, election denialism, public trials, January 6, were not as important as the issues that moved them to send Donald Trump back to the White House with their vote,” she elaborated.
“Joe and I realize it’s time to do something different, and that starts with not only talking about Donald Trump, but also talking with him.”
Comedian Jon Stewart also weighed in, mocking the hosts for their apparent U-turn.
During an episode of “The Daily Show,” Stewart launched a segment humorously titled “The Audacity of Cope” where he called out Democrats for their reaction to the election loss.
He played clips of liberal pundits likening Trump to figures such as Adolf Hitler and Vladimir Putin, only to turn around and engage with him post-election.
“Uh, because you said he was Hitler,” Stewart said, responding to Brzezinski’s rhetorical question about their trip to Mar-a-Lago.
Stewart didn’t hold back in addressing what he saw as Democrats’ attempts to sugarcoat their defeat.
“I assume now that the Democrats have lost to the greatest threat we’ve ever faced as a nation that they will be forthright in acknowledging, one, the Democrats’ role in this catastrophic defeat and, two, the bleak hellscape we now face,” he remarked.
