President Trump had a field day on social media, taking aim at pop star Taylor Swift and basking in her less-than-stellar reception by hardcore Eagles fans during Super Bowl LIX.
“The only one that had a tougher night than the Kansas City Chiefs was Taylor Swift. She got BOOED out of the Stadium. MAGA is very unforgiving!” Trump posted on his Truth Social account late Sunday.
Both Swift and Trump attended the showdown at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, where the Chiefs were handed a decisive 22-40 defeat by the Eagles.
Swift, the current girlfriend of Kansas City Chiefs player Travis Kelce, was met with jeers from the fiercely loyal Philadelphia crowd when her face popped up on the stadium’s jumbotron early in the game.

The “Anti-Hero” singer appeared momentarily caught off guard by the boos before managing a reserved smile.
Conversely, Trump was met with enthusiastic applause when he briefly appeared on the big screen during Jon Batiste’s rendition of the National Anthem.
The 78-year-old president, who initially predicted a Chiefs victory, didn’t stick around for the entire game.

By halftime, with the Eagles comfortably ahead 24-0, Trump decided it was time to move on.
However, before leaving the stadium, he wasted no time posting about Swift’s reception on his Truth Social account.
Trump also shared a social media post from X account Libs of TikTok, who juxtaposed video footage of his warm reception with a clip of the audience booing Swift.

Before the game, Trump teed off with Tiger Woods at Trump International Golf Club in Palm Beach, Florida.
En route to New Orleans, he issued a proclamation naming February 9, 2025, Gulf of America Day.

The announcement came as Air Force One passed over the body of water Trump had previously renamed from the Gulf of Mexico.
Trump shared his excitement for Sunday’s game in a statement released earlier, calling it an extraordinary event showcasing the American Dream.
“The coaches, players, and team staff on the field tonight represent the best of the best in professional football, but they also embody the best of the American Dream,” read the official statement from the Trump White House.
“Their hard work, dedication, and tenacity is admirable, and their individual journeys are as inspiring as the drive and determination that has led them to this extraordinary moment,” he continued.

Upon arriving in New Orleans, Trump took time to meet with family members of victims from the tragic New Year’s Day attack on Bourbon Street.
Fourteen people lost their lives during the January 1 incident, when a vehicle driven by suspect Shamsud Din Jabbar rammed into a crowd, injuring 35 others as well.
During the pregame ceremonies, Trump came down to the field for brief interactions with local first responders and law enforcement officials who assisted in the aftermath of the attack.
Photos of the victims stood in solemn display, held by members of the New Orleans Police Department, Emergency Medical Services, Fire Department, and Louisiana State Police.

“While thousands of fans from across our Nation gather in New Orleans to cheer on their favorite team, we remember that 14 families will be missing a loved one who was tragically murdered during a senseless terrorist attack while celebrating the New Year on Bourbon Street,” Trump remarked in a heartfelt public message.
“Our thoughts are also with the 35 individuals injured during the attack whose lives were changed forever that fateful night, and our prayers will remain with them for continued strength, comfort, and healing,” he added.
Later, Trump exchanged pleasantries with Chiefs defensive lineman Chris Jones before a pre-recorded interview of his aired on Fox News, where he discussed game predictions.

“I guess you have to say a quarterback who has won as much as he’s won, I have to go with Kansas City,” Trump told Fox News anchor Bret Baier during their sit-down chat.
The former president also didn’t miss the chance to mention Brittany Mahomes, wife of Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes.
“I watched this great quarterback, who has, by the way, has a phenomenal wife,” Trump noted.
“She’s a Trump fan. She’s a MAGA fan, so I happened to love her, but she’s a great person.”
