President Donald Trump responded Monday to the news that the first seven seasons of his iconic reality television series, “The Apprentice,” will soon be available for streaming on Amazon Prime, beginning March 10.
“I look forward to watching this show myself — such great memories, and so much fun, but most importantly, it was a learning experience for all of us!” Trump told the New York Post.
The NBC show was instrumental in launching Trump into the realm of reality television, where he became a household name.
His signature phrase, “You’re fired,” which originated on the program, remained a staple throughout his tenure on the show and was even used during his political campaigns, including his 2024 presidential run.
Originally premiering in 2004, “The Apprentice” featured aspiring entrepreneurs competing in high-stakes business challenges, with Trump serving as the ultimate decision-maker.
The Hollywood Reporter noted that these non-celebrity seasons will now be accessible to Amazon Prime viewers in the United States.
Producer Mark Burnett, who played a key role in the show’s creation, praised Trump’s on-screen charisma and the program’s impact.
“The Apprentice is one of the best shows that I ever produced. The charismatic onscreen presence of President Donald J. Trump made it a bona fide hit,” Burnett stated to The Hollywood Reporter.
“Now, thanks to Prime Video, a whole new audience will experience a new season every Monday.”
Burnett, who also executive produces CBS’ long-running competition series “Survivor,” noted the cultural significance of the Trump starring series.
“This show is a love letter to New York City! ‘Survivor’ grew an entirely new massive audience as a result of old seasons being binged during the pandemic,” he explained.
“On Monday, March 10, this same phenomenon will begin again… with ‘The Apprentice.’”
The reality show was not only a massive success but also a lucrative venture for Trump, reportedly earning him $214 million over its run.
His close relationship with Burnett has remained intact, and Trump has even appointed him as a special envoy to the United Kingdom.
The announcement of “The Apprentice” returning to streaming coincides with reports that Amazon Prime Video is also working on a documentary featuring former First Lady Melania Trump.
According to sources, the documentary is already in production and has been filmed in multiple locations, including the White House.
Variety previously reported that Melania is serving as an executive producer for the project, working alongside Fernando Sulichin, with Brett Ratner directing.
Reports indicate that Melania secured the deal herself. During a December gathering at the Trumps’ Mar-a-Lago estate in Palm Beach, where Amazon executive Jeff Bezos was present to celebrate Trump’s election victory, she seized the opportunity to pitch her documentary idea.
The Wall Street Journal reports that Amazon ultimately agreed to pay $40 million to license the film, with Melania receiving an estimated 70% cut, potentially netting her at least $28 million.
A recent poll conducted by the DailyMail and J.L. Partners suggests that Melania Trump enjoys significant favorability among the American public.
Many respondents described her as “classy,” “elegant,” and “beautiful.” The poll found that 40% of voters believe she has a positive influence on her husband, and 47% approve of her performance as First Lady, compared to 38% who disapprove.
The survey, conducted between March 5-7, sampled 1,019 registered voters and has a margin of error of 3.4%.
Melania recently returned to the public eye by reviving her Be Best initiative and accompanying President Trump to his congressional address.
She traveled with him from the White House to Capitol Hill, where she was seen applauding from her seat in the House chamber as he delivered his speech.
Additionally, she participated in a formal White House dinner with the nation’s governors, earning praise from Trump for her ongoing efforts.
Meanwhile, on Monday, it was confirmed that the Philadelphia Eagles had accepted President Trump’s invitation to visit the White House in celebration of their Super Bowl victory.
According to NBC10 in Philadelphia, the team did not merely accept the invitation but did so “enthusiastically.”
A White House official corroborated this report, while NBC10 and NBC Sports Philadelphia’s John Clark further verified the Eagles’ acceptance.
The only remaining issue is finalizing the logistics, including the timing of the visit.
“An Eagles team spokesperson confirmed the Eagles organization has accepted an invite to visit the White House, and they are working on scheduling a date and logistics,” Clark reported on X.
Rumors had circulated last month suggesting that the Eagles had declined the White House invitation. However, those claims were false, as the administration had not yet extended a formal request at the time.
This marks a contrast to 2018, when the Trump White House rescinded an invitation to the Eagles following their Super Bowl LII victory over the Patriots.
The decision came after it was revealed that only a small, ten-person delegation from the team planned to attend.
At the time, national anthem protests were sweeping the league, and several Eagles players had expressed their intent to boycott the event, prompting Trump to revoke the invite altogether.
Last month, Trump hinted that an invitation was imminent, expressing admiration for the Eagles’ performance in the Super Bowl.
“I thought it was a great [Super Bowl] performance by them,” he said. “Absolutely, they’ll be extended that invitation… We’ll do that right away.”
“We’re going to do it sometime today,” he continued at the time. “They deserve to be down here and we hope to see them.”
