Iconic musician Kid Rock praised President Donald Trump for what he sees as a national shift away from progressive cultural overreach.
Speaking with Fox News Digital during his “Rock N Rodeo” event in Texas, the 54-year-old artist said cancel culture, DEI initiatives, and the broader “woke” agenda are fading, and that Trump deserves the credit.
“I think wokeness and DEI and cancel culture is starting to exit the building,” the singer, who’s real name is Robert Ritchie said, adding that Americans can thank President Trump for “leading that charge once again.”
Calling Trump a “dragon slayer,” the conservative rocker described what he believes the 47th president has done to push back on political correctness and identity politics: “He just came and slit the throat of DEI and wokeness.”

Though “Born Free” singer acknowledged that some level of cancel culture may always linger, saying that “somebody getting butt sore about this, wants to protest and not buy a product,” Ritchie made clear that he opposes punishing Americans for corporate decisions.
“You know, me personally, I’m not into seeing people lose their jobs over some corporate decision that was made,” he said.
He did note that sometimes a company deserves to feel the consequences of alienating its customer base.

“But sometimes there needs [to be] a little spanking there, like Bud Light had from me and some other people, but at the end of the day, we forgave them, said, ‘It’s all good. Let’s get back on track.’”
Kid Rock also took the opportunity to outline his vision for a better America, which is not based on identity metrics or political agendas, but rooted in hard work and performance.
🤣Kid Rock claimed on Thursday's Fox News appearance that the low birth rate in America is due to the fact that no one wants to sleep with "ugly ass, broke, crazy, deranged, TDS liberal women."💯

“I do think it’s exiting the building right now, and hopefully it stays gone,” he said. “We should be a merit-based system. The best and hardworking rises to the top.”
“I don’t know how we got here, because to me, that’s just common sense, that’s just the ultimate, highest level of common sense that just the best and the hardest workers rise to the top,” he continued. “It doesn’t matter, anything else.”
When asked about Trump’s time in office, Kid Rock called him the “greatest president ever.”
“My thoughts on President Trump’s presidency: greatest president ever. I can sum it up like that,” he said.
“Not only because of our friendship and all the laughs we share on the golf course or hanging out at UFC fights or whatever it might be, but just the tenacity this man has. You know, the most resilient.”
That support for Trump hasn’t faltered, even when controversy hit close to home.
On May 10, Kid Rock’s own Nashville restaurant, Big Ass Honky Tonk Rock N’ Roll Steakhouse, closed early amid reports of an ICE sweep in the area.
Management reportedly told workers without legal documentation to leave, and the kitchen was reportedly emptied.
In response, Ritchie made it clear he was not involved in daily decisions at the restaurant.

“I 100% support getting illegal criminals out of our country no matter where they are. I also like President Trump…”

“Clearly I do not have anything to do with day to day operations at my Honky Tonk – but it’s good click bait, I get it,” he posted to X.
Though he didn’t shy away from defending immigration enforcement efforts, even if it negatively effected his own business.
“That being said I 100% support getting illegal criminals out of our country no matter where they are,” the “Picture” singer continued.
“I also like President Trump want to speed up the process of getting GREAT immigrants into our country – LEGALLY!”
While Kid Rock touted Trump’s leadership, a high profile Democrat took fire for comparing ICE agents to Nazi secret police.
“Donald Trump’s modern-day Gestapo is scooping folks up off the streets. They’re in unmarked vans, wearing masks, being shipped off to foreign torture dungeons,” former Vice Presidential candidate Gov. Tim Walz told graduates in his home state.
“No chance to mount a defense. Not even a chance to kiss a loved one goodbye. Just grabbed up by masked agents, shoved into those vans and disappeared.”
Disgraced loser @GovTimWalz thinks ICE agents are the “modern day Gestapo.”

Defending the controversial remarks during his speech at the University of Minnesota, Walz continued, “Some would say, ‘Boy, this is getting way too political for a commencement address.’ But I would argue, I wouldn’t be honoring my oath if I didn’t address this head on.”
The Department of Homeland Security quickly issued a scathing rebuttal to Walz characterization.
“It is absolutely sickening to compare ICE law enforcement agents to the Gestapo. Attacks and demonization of ICE and our partners is wrong,” read a statement released on social media.
The agency added that its officers are now facing a “413% increase in assaults,” and reaffirmed its mission: “DO NOT come to this country illegally. If you do, we will arrest you, deport you and you will never return.”
In a separate move, DHS also launched its first “self-deportation” charter flight on Monday, sending 64 illegal migrants from Colombia and Honduras back to their home countries.
The initiative, which included travel assistance and a $1,000 stipend for each participant, marked a shift toward encouraging voluntary departures.
“This was a voluntary charter flight, not an ICE enforcement operation,” DHS clarified.
Migrants using the CBP Home App were also eligible to return legally in the future.
Photos showed smiling passengers being greeted in their home countries, where some received stuffed animals and food vouchers.
In Honduras, additional government aid of $100 was provided.
