“Tiger King” star Joe Maldonado, better known to the public as Joe Exotic, lost his mind after learning that President Donald Trump had granted full pardons to reality television stars Todd and Julie Chrisley while continuing to ignore his own case.
Maldonado, currently five years into a 21-year sentence at the FMC Fort Worth Federal Medical Center in Texas, took to social media to vent his frustrations.
“I guess being innocent is not enough in America,” the 62-year-old posted on X.
In his lengthy outburst, Maldonado referenced the Chrisleys’ legal troubles and his perception of a system rigged against him.

“They all admitted to perjury on world television but yet I’m left to die of [prostate] cancer before I can get any help,” he wrote.
“Why is it the entire world can see the evidence but the White House refuses to acknowledge that they did this to me knowing that they were lying?”
Maldonado’s conviction in 2018 included charges of attempting to hire two people, one who was an undercover federal agent, to murder his rival, Carole Baskin, founder of Big Cat Rescue.

He was also found guilty of falsifying wildlife records and violations of the Endangered Species Act, including the killing of five tigers.
Despite this, he has maintained his innocence on all charges related to violence and murder.

“I did not hurt anyone,” Maldonado ranted. “I did not pay anyone, and I had no plans to hurt anyone.”
According to him, his case was fraught with coerced testimony, perjury, and collusion among federal agencies.
Meanwhile, the Chrisley’s, who starred in USA’s “Chrisley Knows Best,” are preparing to walk free after President Trump issued an unconditional pardon to the married couple.
Todd Chrisley, originally sentenced to 12 years, and his wife Julie, who received a seven-year term, were both found guilty of defrauding banks of more than $30 million and committing tax evasion, wire fraud, and obstruction of justice. Their initial release dates had been set for 2035 and 2030, respectively.
White House aide Margo Martin shared the news via a video showing the president speaking with the couple’s daughter Savannah Chrisley.
The caption, “Trump Knows Best,” riffed on the title of the family’s reality show.

During the call, Trump could be heard telling Savannah, “That’s a terrible thing, that’s a terrible thing. But it’s a great thing because your parents are going to be free and clean and I hope we can do it by tomorrow, is that OK?”
“I don’t know them, but give them my regards. Wish them a good life,” he added.
Savannah and her younger brother Grayson, who also joined the call, thanked Trump for the pardon.
“Mr. President, I just want to say thank you for bringing my parents back,” Grayson said.
The president responded by saying, “Yeah, well, they were given a pretty harsh treatment from what I’m hearing.”
Later that day, a visibly emotional Savannah confirmed the news in an Instagram video, wearing a white “Make America Great Again” hat.
“The President called me personally as I was walking into Sam’s Club and notified me that he was signing pardon paperwork for both of my parents,” she shared. “So, both my parents are coming home tonight or tomorrow.”

Savannah described the moment as surreal. “I have shed so many tears,” she said.
“I will forever be grateful for President Trump, his administration and everyone along the way.”
She also extended thanks to her legal team and those who had supported her family during their legal battle.
In the video, Savannah said she was scrambling to get the house ready for her parents’ return.
“We’re putting clothes together for mom and dad, getting their room put together upstairs.”
“I can’t thank you guys enough for sticking with my family along the way, for loving us [and] supporting us,” she continued.

“To all of the political figures I have come in contact with over the past two and a half years that believed in me and believed in my family: Thank you.”
Overcome with gratitude, she added, “I’m freaking out. I am going to go prepare to pick up my parents and I just can’t thank you guys enough. They’re coming home. My parents get to start their lives over.”
“President Trump didn’t just commute their sentences, he gave them a full, unconditional pardon,” she noted. “So for that I am forever grateful. Thank you, President Trump.”

Savannah also promised to stand by the administration going forward. “I will repay your kindness to every person that I meet, so thank God for a president like Donald J. Trump,” she said.
“Thank God for a president that wants to restore families and who loves people and who loves people well and who took the time to call me from the Oval Office to let me know that my parents are getting their lives back.”
She closed the video by noting her next steps, saying, “I’m probably going to wear my pink MAGA hat to pick them up. It’s time to go get mom and dad!”
