Former “Shark Tank” star Mark Cuban managed to find common ground with Donald Trump Jr. this week while taking a jab at a Democrat Senator.
The pair publicly criticized Sen. Elizabeth Warren, calling her out for failing to take on what they argue is a major contributor to skyrocketing health care costs: pharmacy benefit managers (PBMs).
Trump Jr. voiced his agreement after Cuban slammed Warren on social media for ignoring the impact of PBMs, a group of corporate middlemen that operate between pharmaceutical companies, insurers, pharmacies, and ultimately, patients.
These entities have come under scrutiny for their role in manipulating drug prices and collecting rebates, which critics argue leads to inflated costs.
Didn’t think I’d be RTing Mark for a while, but he’s 100% right on this issue. https://t.co/ofraK5IFQk

Sen. Warren had initially posted on X, formerly Twitter, that the U.S. tax system is “rigged,” citing pharmaceutical giants like Johnson & Johnson, which she claimed charge “the highest drug prices in the WORLD while often paying ZERO dollars in federal taxes themselves.”
Cuban fired back online and blamed Warren for failing help everyday Americans, despite pharmaceutical regulation being her “area of expertise.”
“No. It’s because PBMs corrupt healthcare. Big Pharma wishes they could set their own pricing. They don’t,” he pointed out.
Big Pharma companies like Johnson & Johnson and Pfizer charge Americans the highest drug prices in the WORLD while often paying ZERO dollars in federal taxes themselves.
Why? Because our tax system is rigged.
Now, Republicans want to make it worse. I'm fighting back. pic.twitter.com/k7dFrXBneX

“PBMs control formularies and manipulate prices, in exchange for providing pharma access to patients. It’s how they maximize rebate revenue,” Cuban explained.
“In fact, 3 PBMs NEGOTIATE MORE THAN 90% OF REBATES for commercial insurance plans,” he continued. “That’s your area of expertise, and you have done nothing.”
Trump Jr., despite years of public sparring with Cuban, shared the post and stated, “Didn’t think I’d be RTing Mark for a while, but he’s 100% right on this issue.”
This exchange is notable given the history between Cuban and President Trump.
Cuban, who actively supported Kamala Harris in the last election cycle, was highly critical of Trump during the campaign.
In October 2024, President Trump fired off a characteristically blunt post on Truth Social about Cuban.
“Mark Cuban is a Loser. Wouldn’t take his phone calls anymore while at the White House, and he went rogue,” he wrote at the time.
“A weak and pathetic ‘bully,’ he’s got nothing going. Really low clubhead speed, a total non-athlete!”
Cuban, for his part, has not held back either. During a November appearance on The View, he remarked, “Donald Trump – you never see him around strong, intelligent women, ever. It’s just that simple.”
DISGUSTING: Top Kamala surrogate Mark Cuban says no "strong, intelligent women" support President Trump.
They're now openly attacking the millions of strong, intelligent women fighting alongside President Trump every day to Make America Great Again.

“They’re intimidating to him,” he elaborated. “He doesn’t like to be challenged by them.”
Trump’s national press secretary Karoline Leavitt called the statement “extremely insulting to the thousands of women who work for President Trump, and the tens of millions of women who are proudly voting for him.”
Cuban later attempted to clarify, saying, he “didn’t get it out exactly the way I thought I did.”
In a twist to their ongoing political drama, Cuban recently revealed that he had been approached by Harris’s campaign about potentially serving as her running mate in the 2024 election.
He confirmed that her team had asked him to submit vetting documents, which he ultimately declined to do.
Tim Miller of The Bulwark questioned him on the rumor during the most recent episode of the podcast.
“Somebody I kind of trust said that they asked you to send in VP vetting papers and you said, ‘No, the list would be too long.’ Is that true?”
Cuban confirmed the outreach but joked that his decision boiled down to self-awareness.
“I’m not very good as the number two person,” he noted. “And so if the last thing we need is me telling Kamala, you know, the president that, no, that’s a dumb idea. Right. And I’m not real good at the shaking hands and kissing babies.”
While Harris eventually picked Minnesota Governor Tim Walz as her running mate, the ticket ultimately fell way short against Trump and Vice President JD Vance.
“I mean, obviously it would have been different,” Cuban reflected on the campaign.
“My personality is completely different than Tim’s. My experiences, my backgrounds are completely different.”
“I think I’ve cut through the s*** more directly. I’m not a politician,” he added.
“And so it would have been different, but it would have been awful. She would have fired me within six days.”
Tim Miller replied, “It would have been better than the present situation, you know?”
To which Cuban conceded, “Well, yes, that’s true. But, you know, I really thought she was going to win.”
