Actor Chris Pratt isn’t afraid to take on Hollywood’s anti-Trump echo chamber.
On Monday’s episode of Bill Maher’s podcast Club Random, Pratt mocked those who despise President Donald Trump so deeply that they refuse to acknowledge any victories his administration delivers.
The blockbuster star, who married Katherine Schwarzenegger in 2019, called out a culture of blind hatred where policy wins are ignored simply because Trump’s name is attached.
Pratt, whose wife’s family tree ties back to the Kennedy dynasty, revealed that he often spends time with Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr.

Despite their personal connection, Pratt noted that the political baggage surrounding Kennedy’s post in the Trump administration has made him a target.
“In politics, you inherit enemies. And when you jump on the bandwagon with who is the most divisive president ever, it makes sense that you’re going to be made to look terrible,” Pratt said.
The actor admitted he doesn’t grill Kennedy about politics during their private gatherings, preferring to keep conversations lighthearted.
WOW: Bill Maher just gave Bobby Kennedy MASSIVE praise and Chris Pratt backed him up.
You love to see it.
Maher admitted he doesn’t line up with Kennedy on everything, but then he dropped a line that hit HARD:

“And so I don’t know what to believe, ’cause it’s not like I sit with Bobby and I go, ‘So, hey, let’s talk about this.’ It’s like we’re just playing cards or playing Mafia or having fun or having dinner,” he explained.
“I’m not going to pick his brain to find out exactly which of those things are true,” the “Guardians of the Galaxy” star continued.

“I just kind of assume that none of them are. And for the most part, I wish him well, man.”
Still, Pratt pointed to Kennedy’s work at HHS as proof that the administration is capable of advancing policies with broad appeal.
“I hope there are certain things that he oversees that seem to be supported in a bipartisan way, like getting terrible, toxic stuff out of our kids’ food,” Pratt detailed.
“I think that’s a great thing. And so, like, just – if you just do that, that’s amazing.”
The “Jurassic World” actor went further, blasting the mindset that every Trump administration success must be dismissed out of spite.
That’s when Pratt delivered a brutal zinger, calling out how absurd it is for Democrats to have an “allergic reaction” to RFK Jr. cleaning up the food supply:
“I’d hate to be so mired in hatred for the president that any success from his administration is something I’d be having… pic.twitter.com/79FxJg9D98

“I’d hate to be so mired in hatred for the president that any success from his administration is something I’d have an allergic reaction to — to be like, ‘Oh, well, if they do it, I don’t want it to happen. I’ll put Clorox in my children’s cereal myself,'” he cited as an example.
“It’s like, come on, be reasonable here. There are certain things that would be a good thing to have. I want them all to be successful.”
Kennedy’s HHS has been pushing the Make America Healthy Again (MAHA) initiative, directing the FDA to shut down loopholes that let corporations regulate their own food safety.
Since its launch in April, industry giants such as General Mills, Hershey, and Kraft Heinz have announced plans to eliminate artificial dyes from their products, a change seen as a direct result of Kennedy’s push.
Maher, often critical of both political parties, surprisingly backed Pratt’s defense of Kennedy.
“I love him. I don’t agree with everything, but I agree with, like, the overall view that what makes us sick is the toxicity,” Maher said.
He recalled advising Kennedy to blend his prior career as an environmental lawyer with his current role, telling him that he had been “very admired” in that arena.
Maher added that when Trump nominated Kennedy to lead HHS, he wasn’t rattled. “Well, the system as it is, the way we do health, is already very f—–,” Maher said last November. “So maybe he’ll make it worse. But, like, my head is not exploding about it.”
The comedian also defended Kennedy against claims that he was unhinged.
“And he’s not crazy. I mean the people trying to – he’s also got, like I said to him when he was here, ‘I don’t agree with everything you said, and I don’t think your father would either, but your father would be so proud that you stuck to your guns like more than anybody,’” Maher told Pratt.
“I mean this guy, when this guy believes something you cannot move him off of it with your bribes. That’s for better and worse.”
The liberal host also turned his fire on his own party, airing frustrations about Democrats who refuse to sit down for interviews.
“People ask me all the time, ‘Why haven’t you ever had Hillary or Bill Clinton on? Why didn’t you have Kamala on during the last campaign?’” Maher said on his eponymous HBO show. “You think we don’t ask?”

The comedian revealed that it took “eight years and a petition to get Obama on” and said even politicians he had supported at the ballot box now avoid his show.
“We ask these people every week. They say, ‘No,’” Maher continued. “And these are people, all people I voted for. Think about that. They’re afraid to come on the show of a guy who voted for them.”
By contrast, Maher credited Republicans with at least showing up, even when they face a grilling.
“The Republicans? They show up. And when they do, they take their beating like a man,” he said, before airing a montage of fiery interviews with GOP figures like Trump ally Steve Bannon and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.
Maher went on to list Democrats he’d like to host, including Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, New York City candidate Zohran Mamdani, and Sen. Elizabeth Warren.
But he argued their refusal to appear comes down to fear. “Look, I would love to have AOC on the show and Mamdani and Elizabeth Warren, but I can’t subpoena the guests, and I can’t fix that,” he said.

“I can’t fix that what the Democrats are scared of more than anything else—I mean, obviously, besides gluten—is being primaried from the far left.”
“Even though most Democrats are not far-left, they’re mild-mannered and moderate,” Maher claimed.
Turning back to Trump, Maher surprised some listeners by calling it a “zombie lie” that the president still backs Vladimir Putin.
He said, “because, first of all, he bombed Iran, that was a Putin ally, he didn’t get out of NATO, he mended fences with NATO, and he put sanctions back on Russia.”
Maher conceded Trump had been “overly friendly” to Putin in the past, noting, “I don’t think he was exactly a Russian agent, but Russiagate was not completely made up.”
“It’s on tape, he’s asking the Russians for help on tape, … they released those emails that day that they hacked, he said, could you please hack some shit, they did it and released it that day to help him. So, don’t tell me there’s no smoke,” he added.
Still, he rejected the notion that Trump remains beholden to Moscow. “I think it’s kind of a zombie lie that Trump is Putin’s bitch, because he certainly was over-friendly to him for a very long time, considering who Putin is, a thug and a murderer. … I could read 20 compliments that Trump has given to him,” Maher said.

He also noted that Trump’s approach to Ukraine had shifted, saying the president’s initial “solution was, well, surrender, give Putin everything he wants, and even that didn’t work.”
“That’s the thing, he gave Putin anything he wanted, and it didn’t work,” Maher noted.
“But, again, let’s not have the zombie lie that he’s still backing Putin, because, first of all, he bombed Iran, that was a Putin ally, he didn’t get out of NATO, he mended fences with NATO, and he put sanctions back on Russia.”
