Eric Trump, the president’s son, stunned onlookers in Japan when he went toe-to-toe with one of the nation’s top sumo wrestlers in a spectacle that quickly went viral.
The 41-year-old Trump posted a video of the encounter, stepping into the ring with Yokozuna as other massive competitors watched from the sidelines.
At first, Eric leaned in with all his weight, but he slipped as the seasoned wrestler stood firm.
Within seconds, the Yokozuna wrapped his arms around Eric, lifted him off the ground, and casually walked him across the ring.
Not every day you get called into the “ring” by the great Yokozuna! These men are incredible. A truly great honor! I’ll be sticking to real estate! 🙏 pic.twitter.com/q6QopYEklL

Eric tapped the wrestler’s shoulders to signal he was ready to stop, before landing on his feet and bowing with a grin.
“Not every day you get called into the ‘ring’ by the great Yokozuna!” Eric posted on X. “These men are incredible. A truly great honor!”
He followed it with a self-deprecating note, “I’ll be sticking to real estate!”
While Eric made headlines overseas, his older brother, Donald Trump Jr., was dealing with something much different back home.
Don Jr. revealed that he phoned his father during Labor Day weekend after bizarre social media rumors claimed the president had died.
“I called my father over the weekend and be like, ‘Hey, just want to make sure you’re not dead,’” Don Jr. told Newsmax.
He added that his daughter was golfing with Trump at that very moment, so he knew the claims were nonsense.
“[He] didn’t even know what I was talking about,” Trump Jr. said about his father.
The 79-year-old president had a relatively quiet holiday, which sparked speculation online that his health was faltering.
Some users even alleged he was actually dead. Others pointed to a golf photo that Trump posted as supposed “proof of life.”
The president’s post showed him with former NFL coach Jon Gruden. “Great playing Golf with Jon Gruden — A really nice guy, and true character!” Trump wrote.
Skeptics quickly noticed that Gruden appeared in the same outfit a week earlier at the same club. This led to theories that Trump recycled an old photo.

The chatter only grew louder when Associated Press footage surfaced showing Trump in the same clothing he wore in the Gruden picture.
Trump, however, brushed aside the conspiracies at a press conference. “Really? I didn’t see that,” he said when asked about the online theories.
“It’s sort of crazy, but last week, I did numerous news conferences, all successful.” He insisted he had been “very active this Labor Day.”
The president also pointed out what he considered a double standard, contrasting his two-day break with Joe Biden’s extended absences.
“I didn’t do any [public events] for two days, and they said there must be something wrong with him,” he commented.
“Biden would not do them for months, you wouldn’t see him, and nobody ever said there was ever anything wrong with him, and we know he wasn’t in the greatest of shape.”
The Trump White House was also in the spotlight for a different kind of trolling.
On Labor Day, the administration’s communications team began using the official White House LinkedIn account.
The profile picture was swapped for Trump’s face, which instantly appeared on pages of anyone who listed “White House” in their résumé.
“This Labor Day, we’re celebrating an America First comeback,” read the post.
That’s the whole point, dummy.

The stunt did not go unnoticed by former Biden staffers. Jeremy Edwards, who once served as assistant press secretary under Biden, shared a screenshot of his profile now featuring Trump’s headshot.
“The White House is now posting on LinkedIn and made their profile picture a picture of Trump’s face,” Edwards complained. “I guess that’s what I get for using LinkedIn.”
Trump communications director Steven Cheung fired back online, replying, “That’s the whole point, dummy.” He later added, “Trolololololol.”
Edwards shot back at Cheung, writing, “Thanks for the explainer, dumb***. I guess I should just be grateful that it’s not your face I have to see whenever I open the app.”

The change even altered former President Barack Obama’s LinkedIn page, which also displayed Trump’s face.
Obama’s former press aide Johanna Maska publicly urged LinkedIn to restore accuracy.
“Now all of us who worked for the White House at any time, including for different Presidents have Donald Trump’s face on our profiles,” she complained.
On top of that, the White House found itself under scrutiny after a viral clip appeared to show objects being thrown from its second-floor windows.
When asked about the footage, Trump dismissed it, suggesting it was “probably AI-generated.”
“Actually you can’t open the windows,” the president explained. “They’re all heavily armored and bulletproof. I know every window up there.”

“The last place I’d be doing it is that, because there’s cameras all over the place, right, including yours,” he added.
Trump joked that even First Lady Melania Trump had once asked for fresh air, but the sealed windows made it impossible.
“Each window weighs about 600 pounds. You have to be pretty strong to open them up,” he pointed out.

Fox News correspondent Peter Doocy attempted to show him the footage, but an aide suggested the window had been opened due to renovation work in Lincoln’s Bedroom.
Trump refused to budge, shooting back, “Yeah, those windows are sealed. Those windows are all — they’re all sealed. You can’t open them.”
He tied the confusion about the video back to artificial intelligence. “One of the problems we have with AI, it’s both good and bad,” he said.
“If something happens really bad, just blame AI. But also they create things. You know, it works both ways.”
The aide later verified the video, attributing it to a contractor’s work.
Observers noted the footage appeared to come from the rooftop of a nearby hotel, though it remained unclear exactly what was being tossed.
