First lady Jill Biden and the second gentleman Doug Emhoff shared a shocking smooch prior to President Joe Biden’s State of the Union address on Tuesday night.
Biden’s wife and Vice President Kamala Harris’ husband greeted each other with a “creepy” on the lips kiss, which was caught on live television as they took their seats next to each other, before the President’s speech.
The kiss quickly went viral and many American’s were horrified by the baffling display.
“Did Jill Biden just kiss Kamala’s husband on the LIPS?!” Conservative commentator Benny Johnson tweeted.
“Sexy start to the State of the Union tonight with Dr. Jill Biden and Kamala’s husband with a heck of a hello kiss,” commented Outkick’s Clay Travis.
“Jill Biden and Kamala’s husband need to get a room,” the official account posted.
“Which of them slipped a little tongue into this kiss?” Another questioned.
“Didn’t have that on my bingo card,” one person replied.
Plenty of people posited that the kiss looked so intimate, that it wasn’t the first time it happened between the pair.
“Are Jill Biden and Doug Emhoff dating? If so, that explains so much,” one Twitter user snarked.
“This was too comfortable for them,” one user noted. “Looks like a lot of swinging going on.”
“I think Jill Biden and Doug Emhoff forgot for a second where they were,” somebody pointed out.
“Ummmm… Jill Biden went in for the eyes closed kiss with Kamala’s husband???? Not their first rodeo,” another added.
“It looks like Jill Biden and Kamala Harris’ husband have kissed more than once. That wasn’t just a friendly peck,” a keyboard commentator observed.
“Open Borders mean also Open Marriage?” Someone joked.
Some people claimed that both Jill Biden and Kamala Harris have had affairs, and the kiss was either not surprising, or karmically deserved respectively.
The first lady previously denied her ex-husband Bill Stevenson’s allegations that she and the president became involved while the pair were still married.
“Jill Biden separated from her first husband irreconcilably in the fall of 1974 and moved out of their marital home,” a spokesperson corrected in 2020. “Joe and Jill Biden had their first date in March of 1975, and they married in June of 1977.”
Harris dated former San Francisco Mayor Willie Brown in the mid-nineties, while he was separated from his estranged wife at the time.
“Jill Biden kissed another woman’s (Kamala’s) husband again on the lips,” one person posted. “That’s exactly how that home wreckin’ ‘HOTUS’ got with Joe Biden.”
“Well [Harris] slept with a married man once so it’s only fair [Biden] kisses her husband on the lips,” someone jabbed.
Still, some pointed out that Jill Biden shared a similar smooch with singer Bonnie Raitt, when she presented her with the Grammy award for “Song of the Year” on Sunday night.
“Jill Biden also kissed Bonnie Raitt on the lips at the Grammys. Bonnie looked freaked out. It was awkward,” they posted.
Others believed that the kiss was preplanned to distract the media from Biden’s State of the Union address.
“I honestly feel like they planned for Jill Biden to smooch Doug Emhoff on the lips as an attempt to distract people & the news cycle from Joe’s circus act,” somebody suggested.
Many commenters were convinced that the lip smack between Biden and Emhoff marks the official end of the pandemic.
“The circus act transitioned from mandatory masks to make-out sessions in record time!” Someone wrote.
“Meanwhile Bernie still wears a mask while Jill Biden kissed Kamala’s husband on the lips. Even amongst themselves they can’t figure out which way is up,” somebody added.
“With that kiss, we can now say the COVID 19 pandemic is officially over per @FLOTUS,” one person asked.
“If Jill Biden can openly kiss other men that she’s not married to, then nobody on the planet should be forced to wear a mask anymore because clearly, Covid must be over,” another concurred.
Social media comedians were happy to get the opportunity make some zingers about the event.
“Let me be serious for a moment, all I really want in life, is for someone to kiss me the way Jill Biden kissed Doug Emhoff. Is that too much to ask?” Someone cracked.
“Proud that you can openly kiss the second gentleman like that, this is progress,” another congratulated FLOTUS.
“Jill Biden hasn’t been French kissed like that since the last time she and Hunter were in the Lincoln bedroom,” somebody else said in a below the belt shot.
During the State of the Union, the president was booed by the GOP for claiming that Republican lawmakers wanted to cut Social Security and Medicare benefits to seniors.
“Some of my Republican friends want to take the economy hostage, which I get it, unless I agree with their economic plans.” Biden remarked. “All of you know should know what those plans are.”
“Instead of making the wealthy pay their fair share, some Republicans, some Republicans want Medicare and Social Security sunset,” he continued.
He was met with a chorus of boos for the statement, and outright called a “liar” by Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA).
“The only factual thing that came out of this SOTU tonight was Jill Biden and Kamala’s husband’s KISS!” One person replied.
The [State of the Union] sucked like Jill Biden sucked Doug Emhoff’s face,” someone concluded.
