Former CNN host Don Lemon was shocked that voters in the blue state of New Jersey told him that Donald Trump is who they’re casting a ballot for in the election.
In a video posted on Saturday, Lemon randomly stopped people on an Atlantic City boardwalk to ask which presidential candidate they were backing, and it went so poorly that he had to defend Vice President Harris.
The video, which has 3 million views as of publishing, starts off with Lemon asking a random person who they support.
He appeared shocked when the man told him “Trump for the win,” and said Harris wasn’t a good fit for the Commander-In-Chief position.

Lemon pushed the man to answer why he felt that way.
“I can’t really call that right now. But I just feel like [Harris] isn’t good for President,” the person the former CNN anchor stopped responded.
“She’s good for Vice. But not the actual lead role in the country.”

“Does it have anything to do with being a woman?” Lemon queried, and the man claimed his feeling about Harris didn’t have anything to do with her gender.
Another man he spoke to believes Harris will win, but he’ll be voting for Trump, because he doesn’t think she has “any experience.”
Lemon incredulously shot back that Harris’ experience includes being a prosecutor, an attorney general, a senator and the vice president.
The woman he interviewed next said she wanted Trump to win the election based on his previous experience.
“I want Donald Trump. I just feel we need somebody who has a stronger background with the military and the world in general,” she told him.

Lemon again touted Harris’ background as a prosecutor and career politician.
He asked another man who his money is on and got the answer, “I’m gonna support the Democratic party, but I mean Trump looks like he got it in the bag right now.”
“Four years ago, it was a lot better. I made a lot more money than I do now,” another voter said.
Lemon laughably pushed back, “I know you feel that way, but that’s not actually what the record shows, the economy was better under Biden.”
The man cackled as Lemon added, “No, I’m serious.”
“Do you watch CNN?” the man countered, to which Lemon said, “No, it’s not because I watch CNN.”
The final voter he spoke to noted that he was voting for Trump of Harris’ record on immigration and the border crisis.

“Did you know Biden was flying them in,” the man asked him.
The video wrapped up with Lemon getting up from a slot machine stating, “I’ve got to get out of Atlantic City. Where are we going to next?”
Lemon caught plenty of flack for the video, with one person commenting, “Don Lemon probably thought this would go a bit different.”
Someone else mocked the liberal journalist for going into a deep-blue state and learning that nearly everyone polled was voting for Trump.
“One guy LAUGHED IN HIS FACE when he tried to claim the economy is better under Kamala Harris than it was under Trump THIS IS GOLD!!!” They wrote.
“If this is the reality on the ground in Democrat cities like Atlantic City, imagine what the truth is in the so-called battleground states,” the commenter noted.
“Real life shows us exactly why the polls are FAKE. Trump is leading by a lot.”
“I could watch this video of Don Lemon getting absolutely dunked on by the entire Atlantic City boardwalk 1000 times and it would never get old,” OANN’s Jack Posobiec mocked.
“Democrats will try to gaslight people into not believing their own eyes and wallets,” Libs of TikTok added.
The next city he went to was Pittsburgh, where voters tended skew towards Harris, with one woman claiming that she was voting for the vice president because she is both a woman and a person of color.

“It’s about time we not just have a woman represent the country, but a woman of color,” the interviewee remarked.
“She’s going to be able to represent a broader group of people than anybody else that we’ve ever seen.”
Ohio was more of a mixed bag, with voters not feeling great about either of their options at the polls.
“I don’t feel, like, comfortable with the candidate,” one woman remarked.
“I don’t really like either candidate,” another added.
Someone else noted that they “wish we had two new candidates.”
“We’re either going to have the first woman president or we’re going to have Trump back in office, so it’s gonna be change either way,” said another.
“Gas wasn’t this high when Trump was our president, food wasn’t this high, I’m going for Trump,” a different woman concluded.
