Vice President Kamala Harris’ husband is under fire for allegedly slapping his ex-girlfriend at a fancy event back in 2012, according to a new report.
Doug Emhoff, 59, is accused of hitting his then-partner, a prominent New York lawyer, so hard she spun around while they were waiting in a valet line after a Cannes Film Festival event.
Three unnamed friends of the woman reportedly shared this story with the Daily Mail.
The woman, referred to only as Jane, supposedly called one of her friends crying in a cab right after the incident, per the outlet.

Another friend claimed Jane, who had been dating Emhoff for about three months, also recounted the incident to her.
A third acquaintance said Jane told her about the events in 2018 when Senator Harris was making national headlines for her tough questioning of Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh over sexual assault allegations.
The friends presented photos of Emhoff with Jane in 2012 and other documents that the Daily Mail claimed supported some details of the encounter.

All three sources wished to remain anonymous due to fears of retaliation from Emhoff. The ex-girlfriend declined to comment on the story.
This explosive report follows a fawning interview where former White House press secretary Jen Psaki praised Emhoff for reshaping the “perception of masculinity.”
“Something that has always—there has also been an important part, an interesting part of how people have talked about your role here is how your role has reshaped the perception of masculinity,” Psaki remarked.

“Has that been an evolution for you, and do you think that’s part of the role you might play as first gentleman?” the MSNBC host asked.
Laughing, Emhoff replied, “It’s funny, I’ve started to think a lot about this. I’ve always been like this, my dad was like this, and to me it’s the right thing to do, you know, support women—it’s mutual, with Kamala and I.”
“We support each other, we have each other’s back, and I’ve said it many times, when we lift up women, we support women, whether it’s pay equity, childcare, family leave, and all these issues,” he continued.
“Women should not be less than, women should not have fewer rights and be treated differently; that’s not the American way,” he noted.
Emhoff said that while he was still working for corporations, he “lifted up” the organizations he belonged to, just as Psaki “lifted up the White House” during her tenure.
Psaki then called him a “proud wife guy” before asking about former President Donald Trump, who she claimed “is not as comfortable with fierce women.”
“He’s also refusing to agree to a debate, which she [Harris] has already agreed to. Do you think he’s scared of debating her?” Psaki asked.
“Yes, he should be,” Emhoff responded.
Psaki’s interview with Emhoff came months after it was revealed that his first marriage ended due to an affair with his children’s nanny, which resulted in a pregnancy.
Sources said that his 16-year marriage to movie producer Kerstin, 57, ended in 2009 after she discovered the affair. At the time, their daughter Ella was 10, and son Cole was 15.

Three years later, in 2013, he met Harris, then California’s Attorney General, on a blind date set up by one of her friends.
The former White House press secretary was roasted online for the softball questions she lobbed at Emhoff.
Conservative commentator Colin Rugg blasted MSNBC for claiming, “We are a serious news network and not propaganda” while asking, “Hey Doug, here is a very difficult question. You completely reshaped masculinity. How does that feel?”
“Is having a baby out of wedlock with the Nanny reshaping masculinity to the Liberals?” on X user asked.
“Just a few days ago Jen Psaki said Doug Emhoff is reshaping the perception of masculinity,” Libs of TikTok commented.
“Turns out he assaulted his ex, cheated on his wife, got his nanny pregnant, and said the nanny claimed he caused her to miscarry,” the account added. “Is this the masculinity @jrpsaki was referring to?”
