Social platforms buzzed with reactions after what some described as a frosty encounter between First Lady Jill Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris during their seating at Arlington Cemetery on Tuesday.
Harris, alongside second gentleman Douglas Emhoff, approached from Jill Biden’s right side, greeting others with handshakes — all except the First Lady. Upon sitting, Biden maintained her gaze straight ahead, hidden behind dark sunglasses.
Both families were attending a Veterans Day ceremony, watching President Biden lay a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.
According to Fox News, Jill Biden warmly greeted Emhoff, but her demeanor changed when Harris arrived.

“It’s safe to say that Jill Biden hates Kamala Harris’ guts,” remarked conservative pundit Steve Cortes, who shared a video clip highlighting the lack of interaction.
“Wow, not even cordial in front of an audience…” one commenter noted. “I would LOVE to be a fly on the wall when Trump goes to the White House with Biden.”
“I cannot wait for the inevitable Vanity Fair expose,” another noted.
“Jill Biden refused to even look at Kamala,” End Wokeness added.
Journalist Andy Ngo posted a close-up image, referring to Jill Biden’s expression as “stone-faced,” and mentioned that Harris’s supporters partly blame President Biden for her recent electoral defeat.
They’re not taking the loss well,” stated conservative voice Benny Johnson. “Watch Jill Biden evidently give Kamala the cold shoulder as she arrives at Arlington National Cemetery.”
“Kamala shook everyone’s hand before swiftly racing past Jill as the cameras were rolling,” he pointed out.
The First Lady also drew attention on Election Day by wearing a bright red pantsuit, a color associated with the Republican Party, to cast her vote.
Did Jill Biden just vote for Donald Trump?

This choice piqued social media commenter’s curiosity, considering red is often used to represent states supporting former President Trump.
Influencer Ian Miles Cheong tweeted, “Jill Biden is wearing the GOP’s shade of red to cast her vote. Joe Biden is skipping the Kamala Harris watch party. Do the math.”
“In 2020, Jill Biden wore all navy blue to vote for president,” someone recalled. “Today, she wore deep red.”
Another added, “Jill Biden hasn’t moved past the coup that ousted her,” suggesting her outfit was a nod to Trump supporters.
In October, the outgoing first lady expressed support for her husband’s decision to withdraw from the presidential race.
“It’s time for something new,” she aid to ABC News’ Deborah Roberts. “It was the right call.”
On Tuesday, President Biden faced criticism for a “get off my lawn” moment he had with a journalist.
In response to Israeli Channel 13’s Neria Kraus, who asked if he could secure a hostage deal with Hamas before leaving office, Biden quipped, “Do you think you can keep from getting hit in the head by a — a camera behind you?”
This exchange occurred just before Biden’s Oval Office meeting with Israeli President Isaac Herzog, where they discussed Israel’s ongoing conflict with Hamas.
“I know that you’re working very hard to make sure that this war will end and that there will be, first and foremost, security for the people of Israel, as well as for the people of Lebanon,” Herzog told Biden, mentioning that over 100 hostages have been held in Gaza for more than 400 days.
In her post sharing the clip, Kraus provided context, stating, “I asked President Biden if he thinks that he can get a hostage deal done by the end of his term. He answered, commenting on the number of cameramen in the room: ‘Do you think that you can get hit in the head by the camera behind you?’”
Biden always gets annoyed with reporters asking questions like this but hostage families are on edge and this is unhelpful.
Also his responses have gone from sort of funny to dementia adjacent. https://t.co/OAxsHVixSs

This comment sparked outrage, with journalist Yashar Ali criticizing Biden’s tone.
“Biden always gets annoyed with reporters asking questions like this but hostage families are on edge and this is unhelpful,” he argued.
“Also his responses have gone from sort of funny to dementia adjacent,” the post continued.
Washington Examiner’s Jeremiah Poff remarked, “Biden is way past the point of caring about anything.”
