President Donald Trump’s eldest son, Donald Trump Jr., has ignited scrutiny around former President Joe Biden’s health following news that the 82-year-old Democrat has been diagnosed with stage IV prostate cancer.
While initially extending a message of goodwill, Trump Jr. later questioned how such an advanced form of cancer could have gone undetected for so long, especially considering Biden’s high-profile status and access to the nation’s best medical care.
Just hours after publicly stating he would “put politics aside” to wish Biden a “speedy recovery,” Trump Jr. reversed course and questioned if the timing of the release of Biden’s devastating diagnosis.
“What I want to know is how Dr. Jill Biden [missed] stage five metastatic cancer, or is this yet another coverup??” he wrote, referencing the former first lady.

Biden’s advanced condition was made public two days after damaging new audio was released from the former president’s October 2023 interviews with special counsel Robert Hur, where he could be heard slurring words and muttering.
According to Axios, “The audio also appears to validate Hur’s assertion that jurors in a trial likely would have viewed Biden as ‘a sympathetic, well-meaning, elderly man with a poor memory,'” and his decision to not prosecute Biden for improper possession of classified documents.
The timing and severity of Biden’s diagnosis have puzzled even seasoned medical professionals.

According to physician Dr. Steven Quay, whose post Trump Jr. shared, prostate cancer is one of the most detectable cancers when caught early.
“The easiest cancer to diagnose when it first starts and to watch it progress to bone metastases,” Quay said.
Doctors discovered the cancer after Biden reportedly began experiencing “increasing urinary symptoms.”
A subsequent medical evaluation revealed a “small nodule” on his prostate, which led to the devastating diagnosis of metastatic cancer, meaning it had already spread to his bones.
The White House made the news public on Sunday, only days after confirming that Biden had undergone further evaluation.
Medical experts, including Quay, say the timeline doesn’t add up. In his analysis, Quay stated, “For even with the most aggressive form, it is a five to seven year journey without treatment before it becomes metastatic.”
“Meaning it would be malpractice for this patient to show up and first be diagnosed with metastatic disease in May 2025,” he continued.
The doctor went further, suggesting that the cancer may have been present for years, potentially even during Biden’s time in the Oval Office.
“It is highly likely he was carrying a diagnosis of prostate cancer throughout his White House tenure and the American people were uninformed,” Quay claimed.
That viewpoint was echoed by Dr. Howie Forman, a professor at Yale with expertise in radiology and public health.
Forman said it was “inconceivable that this was not being followed before he left the Presidency,” pointing to standard PSA tests, which typically reveal prostate issues well in advance of severe progression.
Formman noted that Biden “must have had a PSA test numerous times before,” calling the late-stage diagnosis “odd.”
It is inconceivable that this was not being followed before he left the Presidency. Gleason grade 9 would have had an elevated PSA level for some time before this diagnosis. And he must have had a PSA test numerous times before. This is odd.

Forman added further speculation, asking whether Biden had been regularly screened over the last decade and if he had “a normal PSA prior to [age] 70?”
“It’s just so odd to discover this with bone [metastasis] in a man of his stature and [with his] access to care,” he concluded.
Following the diagnosis, Trump Jr. also posted a resurfaced 2022 clip of Biden speaking about environmental issues.
Joe says he had cancer 2 years ago & everyone said it’s a gaffe. When he clearly had dementia, everyone said he’s lucid. Now that he’s no longer useful they’re all shocked that they missed it.

“That’s why I, and so damn many other people I grew up with, have cancer,” Biden said at the time.
While Biden’s communications team at the time claimed he was referencing previous skin cancer issues, Trump Jr. suggested there may have been more to the story.
“Joe says he had cancer 2 years ago and everyone said it’s a gaffe,” Trump Jr. posted to X.
“When he clearly had dementia, everyone said he’s lucid. Now that he’s no longer useful they’re all shocked that they missed it.”
Earlier in 2024, Biden’s physician, Dr. Kevin O’Connor, issued a clean bill of health, calling the former president “fit to serve” following a routine physical at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center.
But that evaluation is now under fresh scrutiny as critics wonder how an aggressive, stage IV cancer could have gone unnoticed just months ago.
Trump Jr. continued to push for transparency, suggesting a coordinated effort to keep the American public in the dark about Biden’s health.
“Everyone was in on the cover-up! Who was running the country? We need accountability!” he wrote.
While Biden’s health news sparked a wave of support from both supporters and political foes, former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi came under fire after she praised Biden as a “great American patriot” and offered warm wishes for his recovery.
Critics were quick to point out that just last year Pelosi reportedly played a key role in efforts to remove Biden from the presidential race behind closed doors.
The sudden reversal in tone raised eyebrows, with observers questioning the sincerity of her message.
President Joe Biden is a great American patriot. Paul and I join the millions across the country and around the world praying for him to have strength and a swift recovery in the battle against cancer. Sending love to him and his family.

Pelosi had been instrumental in pushing the Democratic Party toward a change in leadership, yet on Sunday she reversed course in light of Biden’s diagnosis.
“This is the same Nancy Pelosi who pushed him aside the second it was politically convenient,” one critic wrote. “Now she’s sending love and prayers?”
Meanwhile, President Trump offered his own message of support, stating he wished Biden a “fast and successful recovery.”
Biden broke his silence on the diagnosis Monday morning with a personal message and photo posted to social media.
Cancer touches us all. Like so many of you, Jill and I have learned that we are strongest in the broken places. Thank you for lifting us up with love and support. pic.twitter.com/oSS1vGIiwU

In a solemn post featuring him and his wife Jill alongside their cat Willow, Biden wrote, “Cancer touches us all.”
“Like so many of you, Jill and I have learned that we are strongest in the broken places,” he added. “Thank you for lifting us up with love and support.”
