President Donald Trump had boxing star and social media personality Jake Paul join him onstage at a Kentucky rally and predicted the outspoken fighter could soon trade the boxing ring for politics.
The moment unfolded Wednesday night in Hebron, Kentucky, where Paul joined Trump before a cheering crowd during an event focused on manufacturing and jobs.
Standing beside the former YouTube personality turned prizefighter, Trump told supporters he believed Paul’s next act might come in government.
“I’m going to make a prediction,” Trump told the crowd while gesturing toward Paul. “That you will be, in the not too distant future, running for political office.”

The president immediately followed the prediction with a promise of support.
“And you have my complete and total endorsement,” Trump added, drawing applause from the crowd.
Trump also recalled his first interactions with the influencer, explaining he initially hesitated when Paul invited him to appear on his podcast.
Jake Paul: “What President Trump’s taught me is courage. You never back down from a fight.”

“His podcast is big stuff, and he’s big stuff,” Trump remarked. “This guy has guts.”
Paul used his time on stage to praise the president and credit him with shaping the mindset that helped drive his success in boxing and business.

“What Mr. Trump has taught me is courage,” Paul told the crowd, arguing that people should never “back down from a fight” even when the odds seem overwhelming.
“We never back down from a fight, even if they’re much bigger than you,” Paul continued. “Much, much bigger than you.”
The boxer told the audience he felt the same fighting spirit among the Kentucky crowd gathered at the rally.
“You guys have that fight,” Paul said while scanning the audience. “You guys have that swag.”
Paul also highlighted the industrial setting of the event, which took place at Verst Logistics, a company based in the region.

The fighter noted he grew up only a few hours away in Ohio and said communities across the country would benefit from more facilities like the one hosting the rally.
“We need more factories like this thriving all over the country,” Paul said while backing Trump’s economic message.
He predicted the president would play a major role in bringing manufacturing back to American communities.
“I know he’s going to be the one to bring that here to us,” Paul declared.

Paul also struck a spiritual tone while addressing supporters, telling the audience he believed faith and perseverance were guiding the country’s future.
“I know God is with us,” he said. “God’s got us. Trump’s got us.”
Trump returned the compliments moments later, praising the boxer’s success in the ring and his willingness to speak his mind.
“He’s a great guy,” Trump said. “He’s a courageous guy and a talented guy.”
“He’s a hell of a fighter,” the president added.

Paul has become one of the most talked-about figures in combat sports after transitioning from YouTube fame into professional boxing.
The 29-year-old recently faced British heavyweight Anthony Joshua in a high-profile bout that ended in a knockout victory for Joshua.
Outside the ring, Paul has also remained active on social media and frequently wades into political debates.
During a recent trip to Italy to watch Olympic events, Paul attended a hockey game alongside Vice President JD Vance while supporting his fiancée, Dutch speed skater Jutta Leerdam, who captured gold in the women’s 1,000-meter race.
While overseas, Paul posted a series of messages defending Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents.
“If you don’t like ICE then you can’t call 911 when you’re in trouble,” Paul wrote on X. “If you don’t respect law enforcement agents then you shouldn’t depend on them.”

The post sparked heated reactions online, particularly after Paul criticized several celebrities who had spoken out against ICE enforcement policies.
He took aim at singer Billie Eilish after she declared during a Grammy Awards speech that “nobody is illegal on stolen land.”
Paul fired back by suggesting critics of law enforcement might think differently during a crisis.
“When Billie Eyelash gets her home broken into,” he wrote, “it’s not gonna be f— ICE.”
The boxer also criticized Olympic skier Hunter Hess after the athlete said he had “mixed emotions” about representing the United States.

“Wow pls shut the f— up,” Paul responded online. “If you don’t want to represent this country go live somewhere else.”
Another exchange erupted when Paul attacked music star Bad Bunny over comments criticizing ICE.
Paul labeled the singer a “fake American citizen” and urged fans to boycott the Super Bowl halftime show where Bad Bunny was scheduled to perform.
“Purposefully turning off the halftime show,” Paul wrote, encouraging viewers to reduce ratings for the broadcast.
“Realize you have power,” he added. “Turn off this halftime.”
Paul later clarified that his criticism was not tied to Bad Bunny’s Puerto Rican background but instead focused on what he described as attacks on American institutions.
“I live in Puerto Rico and I love Puerto Rico,” Paul explained in a follow-up message.
“But if you’re publicly criticizing ICE who are doing their job and openly hating on America,” he wrote, “I’m going to speak on it.”
To clarify: I wasn’t calling anyone a “fake citizen” because they’re from Puerto Rico. I live in Puerto Rico, and I love Puerto Rico. I have used my platform to support Puerto Rico time and time again and will always do so.
But if you’re publicly criticizing ICE who are doing…

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez responded sharply to Paul’s criticism in a social media post of her own.
“A fake American citizen?” the congresswoman wrote while questioning Paul’s comments.
She accused the boxer of relocating to Puerto Rico to reduce his tax burden while criticizing others for their political views.
“Didn’t you move to Puerto Rico to avoid paying your taxes,” Ocasio-Cortez asked.
The online clashes have added to Paul’s growing reputation as one of the most outspoken athletes in sports.

His brother Logan’s name has also surfaced recently in another sports feud involving former NFL players.
Retired New England Patriots star Rob Gronkowski recently challenged Paul to a fight after the boxer called out professional football players during a promotional video.
“If Logan Paul wants a piece of me,” Gronkowski said while discussing the situation on the show “Up & Adams,” “I’ll whoop his a–.”
"If Logan Paul wants a piece of me, I'm down to throw it down on the field… I'll whoop his ass."

Gronkowski suggested the two could settle the issue during the upcoming Fanatics Flag Football Classic in Los Angeles, where both men are scheduled to appear.
“I’m down to throw on the field,” the former tight end said, adding he would not hesitate to “go all out brawl” if the opportunity arose.
Logan Paul has suggested he is open to boxing almost anyone willing to step into the ring.
“If any of the football players want to fight,” Paul said in a social media video, “put on boxing gloves and let’s see how it goes.”
