Comedian Kathy Griffin said she makes cow and cat noises to ward off PTSD attacks that she claims are caused by former President Donald Trump.
Griffin, who infamously took her criticism of Trump too far by posing with a paper mache likeness of the 45th president’s severed and bloody head in a 2017 photo shoot, has allegedly been traumatized by the backlash she received.
“I actually do have PTSD, and I’m laughing because I thought that was only for combat veterans,” she told Vulture in a recent interview.
Griffin detailed the fallout from the stunt, which reportedly stalled out her comedy career for six years.

“But apparently if you’re put under investigation by the Department of Justice, and the president wants you to be charged with conspiracy to assassinate the president, and you’re put on the No Fly List,” she explained.
“Then your tour is canceled because of bomb threats, and then your phone doesn’t ring for six years, and then you get cancer and lose part of your voice ’cause half of your lung is gone, you gotta laugh about it,” the “Suddenly Susan” star remarked.
The comedian has apparently turned to animal noise yoga to deal with the stress of her 2021 lung cancer diagnosis and post-Trump downfall.
“It’s when I get on all fours like a kitty cat and then I arch my back and I am instructed by my teacher to say the word meow,” she reported. “I feel like a f**king fool, but I do it and then I un-arch my back and — wait for it — I ‘moo’ like a cow.”
“PTSD is a b***h, and when I get PTSD attacks, I can’t stop vomiting,” the “Hall Pass” actress continued. “So if I have to meow like a kitty cat and moo like a cow, I’m gonna f**king do it.”
According to the interview, Griffin believes that the nation is finally over her gory 2017 photo shoot, as she is about to embark on her “My Life on the PTSD-List” comedy tour.

“Something has happened where it’s almost like America has finally forgiven me or something,” she told the outlet.
“All of a sudden, I got a call from the Mirage in Vegas, and they were the first to say, ‘Yes, we want you to do a show,’ and it sold out.”
“After this long dry spell, all of a sudden I got a call from a manager, and he got me an agent, and this tour came together, like, two weeks ago,” she concluded. “So it’s been a shift.”
Griffin’s not the only celebrity to purportedly be traumatized by Trump.
Barbara Streisand recently said that she’d “probably” move to England if Trump is reelected in 2024.
“I will move. I can’t live in this country if he became president,” Streisand told Stephen Colbert during a recent episode of The Late Show.
The “Yentl” star, who called Trump “completely unfit” to run the country in her recent memoir, said that she’s a fan of the current commander-in-chief.
“Well, I like Biden. I think he’s done a good job,” she stated. “I think he’s compassionate. He’s smart. He supports the right things.”
She told Colbert that the current political climate in the country is “bad” and that she found the surprise rise of antisemitism disheartening.
“It’s so sad,” Streisand commented. “It’s so sad what’s going on today — meaning, people have to live together, even though they are different religions, or whatever.”
“People are people. It’s true. You know, we all want the same thing,” she continued. “We all want love in our hearts, we all want family. We all want to feel secure.”
The “Meet the Fockers” actress, who is Jewish, said that she “hopes for the best,” but finds the rampant antisemitism across the United States is “heartbreaking.”
“What’s happening now with these people — the children, the mothers — it doesn’t matter what religion they are,” Streisand concluded.
“Do you know what I mean? This is beyond religion. This is insanity for us not to learn how to live together in peace.”
