Trump hater Barbra Streisand defended disgraced Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis amid affair testimony drama.
“How silly that the Republicans want to have Fani Willis fired,” the singer tweeted on Monday.
“For what? Thinking a woman can’t have a private life as well as a professional one,” she added. “Men do it all the time! How ridiculous is this?”
The two-day hearing surrounding allegations that Willis had an “improper” affair with Nathan Wade, the prosecutor she hired to help with the election interference case against the ex-president, concluded after bombshell testimonies on Friday.

A key witness of the defense, Terrence Bradley, Wade’s former law partner, largely avoided answering questions about the timing of the affair, due to attorney client privilege.
While he previously testified that he left the firm due to Wade’s divorce, Bradley eventually contradicted himself, by stating he took his leave after he was accused of assault by a firm employee, who the lawyer indirectly paid off.
Judge Scott McAfee has ordered an “in-camera” closed-door meeting with Wade’s former partner to find out if he was correct to assert attorney client privilege when dodging questions.
Bradley’s testimony was just the tip of the iceberg of two bad days in court for Willis, who was described as “belligerent” during her shocking testimony on Thursday.
“You think I’m on trial,” Willis, who charged Trump with racketeering, but was defending her own potential financial misdeeds, said.
“These people are on trial for trying to steal an election in 2020,” she said about defense attorneys in the courtroom. “I’m not on trial, no matter how hard you try to put me on trial.”
Her behavior was so bad on the stand, that McAfee threatened to strike her testimony from the record after she argued with lawyers for hours.

While trying to prove that there was no conflict of interest in the case against Trump, both Willis and Wade claimed that their relationship began after Wade was hired in late 2021.
However, Robin Yeartie, a former employee at the District Attorney’s office, testified that the relationship stated in 2019, when the pair met at a conference.
She told the judge that they became romantically involved after meeting, and said she observed them showing “close affection” towards before Wade was hired.
Both Willis and Wade claimed that they split the expenses on their lavish trips to the Bahamas, Belize, and on Caribbean cruises, which Wade paid for on paper.
When defense attorneys asked for receipts, Wade claimed he did not deposit the cash in his bank account.
“You don’t have a single solitary deposit slip to corroborate or support any of your allegations that you were paid by Ms. Willis in cash?” Defense attorney Craig Gillen asked in astonishment.
“Not a one,” Wade shot back.
District Attorney Fani Willis acquitted herself admirably against the charges of conflict of interest. A woman is allowed to have a private life and still be in public service.

When Willis was asked where the cash came from, she said that she had large amounts in her house.
“When you meet my father, he’s going to tell you as a woman, you should always have … at least 6 months in cash at your house, at all time,” Willis said on Thursday.
Her father, who also took the stand, confirmed keeping cash on hand was cultural.
“I’m not trying to be racist, okay? But it’s a black thing,” he stated. “I was trained and most black folks, they hide cash or they keep cash. You always keep some cash.”
Later in the questioning, the district attorney blasted defense lawyers as “intrusive,” and having “interests are contrary to democracy.”
This has nothing to do with the facts of the case and Trump’s brazen attempt to pressure the Secretary of State to”find” more votes for him and to put false electors in front of Congress. It is just another diversion by Trump.

Also during the day in court, it appeared that she was wearing her hot pink dress backwards, as the zipper was worn on her front.
Streisand praised Willis for acquitting “herself admirably against the charges of conflict of interest.” in a Friday afternoon tweet.
“A woman is allowed to have a private life and still be in public service,” she added.
Earlier in the week, Streisand said that the accusations against Willis have “nothing to do with the facts of the case and Trump’s brazen attempt to pressure the Secretary of State to”find” more votes for him and to put false electors in front of Congress. It is just another diversion by Trump.”
