Curb Your Enthusiasm star Larry David called former President Donald Trump a “sociopath” for how he handled his 2020 election loss.
On Wednesday, CNN released a segment from the comedian’s interview on Who’s Talking to Chris Wallace, where the titular host asked him about how much the “2020 election and everything that has flowed from it” has personally upset him.
“You can’t go a day without thinking about what [Trump has] done to this country because he’s such a little baby,” David retorted.
“He’s thrown 250 years of democracy out the window by not accepting the results,” he remarked. “It’s so crazy.”

The HBO actor accused Trump of being “such a sociopath,” and added that he is “so insane.”
“He just couldn’t admit to losing. And we know he lost. He knows he lost,” David went on. “And look how he’s fooled everybody. He’s convinced all these people that he didn’t lose. He’s a such a sick man. He’s so sick.”
After concluding his rant, the comedian casually joked, “Anyway, no, it hasn’t impacted me at all.”
It hasn’t been all bad blood between Trump and David, who notably appeared in a skit on Saturday Night Live together in late 2015, when he was still a first time Republican presidential candidate.
Trump hosted the show, and David made a guest appearance to play then Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Bernie Sanders.
As Trump was giving his opening monologue, he was interrupted by David shouting “Trump’s a racist” off stage, in what appeared to be a skit.
“Larry, what are you doing?” Trump asked him in mock exasperation.
“I heard if I yelled that, they’d give me $5,000,” David said about an organization called Deport Racism, who had protested Trump’s appearance on the show and had offered to pay any audience member that called him racist $5k.
“As a businessman, I can fully respect that,” Trump responded.
The group actually made good on their offer, and tweeted that they had paid the actor the $5,000 bounty. “Joke or not, it was true,” the posted on Twitter. “Go Larry!”

David became less than friendly to Trump two years later, after he had taken office. The actor was asked to dole out some advice to the then Commander-in-Chief at the 2017 Vanity Fair Summit, and his feelings about Trump had clearly soured.
“Please leave,” he advised the president. “I think we should stop talking about him. He only wants attention, right?”
Trump must have still believed they were on friendly terms in 2019, when he tweeted a clip from Curb Your Enthusiasm, where David, who created the show, was clearly mocking his supporters.
In the video, which was from the season 10 premiere, David nearly runs a tattooed biker off the road while changing lanes with his electric BMW, and the situation explodes into a road rage incident.
David’s character is harassed, cursed at, and threatened by the biker who yells menacingly until David puts on a red MAGA hat.

When David rolls the window down to apologize, the motorcyclist’s attitude quickly changes from enraged to afraid, and he accepts the apology before hightailing it away.
Trump clearly wasn’t aware that the MAGA cap was part of a plotline throughout the episode, where David uses it as “people repellent” in situations he wants to get out of.
“TOUGH GUYS FOR TRUMP!” the then president captioned the video in a call back to an interview, when he boasted about having the support of the police, military, and Bikers for Trump.
“I have all the tough people,” he said about his followers.
When David was asked if he was worried about offending Trump supporters who could have been fans of his show, he declared that they should go right ahead and “alienate” themselves.
“Go. Go and alienate, you have my blessing,” David said about losing conservative viewers. “I could give a f**k.”
