Country music star Carrie Underwood has been announced as one of the performers for President-elect Donald Trump’s upcoming inauguration and her liberal fans are storming the castle with their torches.
Underwood will sing “America the Beautiful” in collaboration with the Armed Forces Chorus and the United States Naval Academy Glee Club right after Trump takes the oath of office alongside his Vice President pick, JD Vance, according to Axios.
“I love our country and am honored to have been asked to sing at the inauguration and to be a small part of this historic event,” Underwood said about performing.
“I am humbled to answer the call at a time when we must all come together in the spirit of unity and looking to the future.”

However, not everyone is pleased with Underwood’s participation. Social media has erupted with backlash, as fans flood her platforms with scathing commentary.
“Will you be performing ‘Before He Cheats’?” one user mockingly wrote on her latest post.
Another critiqued, “Trump?? So I guess Love Wins was just about pandering. Bye.” Yet another commenter added, “Well damn. Didn’t realize you were a Trump supporter. Should have known.”
A particularly scathing remark said, “Kelly Clarkson will always be better than you.”
Meanwhile, opera singer Christopher Macchio is set to perform the national anthem during the ceremony, while Lee Greenwood returns to sing “Proud to Be an American,” a song often associated with Trump’s appearances.
Ahead of the Inauguration, vocal Trump supporter Kid Rock, who performed at the last night of the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee in July, will also take the stage to support his “great friend.”

Rock, whose real name is Robert Richie, will perform at the president-elect’s “Victory Rally,” Sunday at Capital One Arena in D.C.
“A few of us had the balls to call out the BS when it was going down and took a lot of shit from the far left lunatics and media,” he tweeted on Monday.
“My oh my how the tides have turned! I still feel this is no time to gloat, but see no wrong in celebrating!!!”
Adding to the lineup, the Village People are also preparing to perform during Trump-related events.
The 1978 disco anthem “Y.M.C.A.” saw renewed popularity after Trump’s now-infamous “Trump Dance” went viral.
The group addressed their controversial participation through a Facebook post, writing, “We know this won’t make some of you happy to hear, however we believe that music is to be performed without regard to politics.”

“Our song Y.M.C.A. is a global anthem that hopefully helps bring the country together after a tumultuous and divided campaign where our preferred candidate lost,” they continued.
“Therefore, we believe it’s now time to bring the country together with music which is why VILLAGE PEOPLE will be performing at various events as part of the 2025 inauguration of Donald J. Trump.”
Country crooner Billy Ray Cyrus, famous for 1992’s “Achy Breaky Heart” will also join the lineup at Trump’s Victory Rally.

Trump’s inauguration events continue to attract both loyal supporters and big-name performers.
After the swearing-in ceremony, the inaugural ball will feature none other than Trump-supporting country star Jason Aldean.
Known for his polarizing 2023 hit, “Try That in a Small Town,” which became somewhat of an unofficial anthem for Trump’s campaign, Aldean is no stranger to backing Trump in the spotlight.
Just last July, he publicly dedicated a performance of the song to Trump during a New Jersey concert, which coincidentally took place on the day of an attempted assassination of the president-elect in Pennsylvania.
“President Trump’s a friend of mine so I want to send this next song out to him. We all know what’s going to happen come November, so it’s all good,” Aldean told the audience.
“Just goes to show you there’s a lot of (expletive) in the world, and that’s kind of what this song right here was about, so this one goes out to the pres.”
Aldean performed at Trump’s Georgia rally at the end of October, and “proudly’ shared that he voted for for him on Election Day.

On Election Day, he wrote on Facebook, “Big day for our country today. Over the past several years we have taken a lot of heat from the entertainment industry and the media for our support of [Trump].
“As a father and an American citizen, I want to see our country get back to its values and principles that made us great to begin with. Vote so our kids can have a safe and secure future,” he added.
Rounding out the musical performances is country group Rascal Flatts, known for their mid-2000s hit “Life is a Highway.” They will also hit the stage at Trump’s star-studded inaugural ball alongside Aldean and the Village People.
At his first inauguration in 2017, Toby Keith, 3 Doors Down, and Lee Greenwood headlined the event.
