President-elect Donald Trump revealed on Thursday his decision to appoint three veteran Hollywood icons as “special ambassadors” for Hollywood.
The chosen stars—Jon Voight, Mel Gibson, and Sylvester Stallone—are all known for their conservative views and public displays of support for Trump.
Voight, Gibson, and Stallone have all previously made headlines for backing Trump in various ways.
Stallone notably described Trump as “the second George Washington” during the America First Policy Gala in Palm Beach back in November, while Voight once referred to the President-elect as “the greatest president since Abraham Lincoln.”

“It is my honor to announce Jon Voight, Mel Gibson, and Sylvester Stallone, to be Special Ambassadors to a great but very troubled place, Hollywood, California,” Trump announced in a statement on Truth Social.
“They will serve as Special Envoys to me for the purpose of bringing Hollywood, which has lost much business over the last four years to Foreign Countries, BACK—BIGGER, BETTER, AND STRONGER THAN EVER BEFORE!”
Trump continued, “These three very talented people will be my eyes and ears, and I will get done what they suggest. It will again be, like The United States of America itself, The Golden Age of Hollywood!”

Hollywood’s largely progressive community has targeted Trump as persona non grata for years, while the vast majority of conservative celebrities have stayed silent with the exception of a select few aside from the newly minted Special Ambassadors, including actors James Woods, Dean Cain, Kevin Sorbo, and Zachary Levi.
Stallone, during his November speech at a post-election Mar-a-Lago gala, lauded Trump by saying, “When George Washington defended his country, he had no idea that he was going to change the world.”
“‘Cause without him, you can imagine what the world would look like,” he added. “Guess what, we got the second George Washington.”
Gibson both confirmed his support for Trump in the 2024 election and took a jab at Vice President Kamala Harris in the same interview.
When questioned about his choice by a TMZ reporter at Los Angeles International Airport, Gibson said, “I don’t think it’s gonna surprise anyone who I vote for.”
When the interviewer suggested Trump was a “bad guess,” Gibson fired back, “I think that’s a pretty good guess.”
The “Braveheart” star took aim at Harris with a sharp critique, adding, “I know what it’ll be like if we let her in. That ain’t good. A miserable track record, an appalling track record, no policies to speak of, and she’s got the IQ of a fence post.”
Gibson, taken aback by his own appointment, responded in a light-hearted tone. “I got the tweet at the same time as all of you and was just as surprised,” he mentioned in a statement to Fox News Digital.
“Nevertheless, I heed the call. My duty as a citizen is to give any help and insight I can.”
He even joked, “Any chance the position comes with an Ambassador’s residence,” after losing his Malibu home in the Palisades wildfire.
Meanwhile, Voight shared his hopes for the revival of Hollywood’s greatest era. “I’m old enough to have touched some years of the Golden Age of Hollywood, and I’ve seen its slow deterioration since.”
“Today, we are in pretty bad shape. Very few films are made here now, but we are fortunate to have an incoming President, who wants to restore Hollywood to its former glory, and with his help, I feel we can get done,” he added.
Voight also addressed the aftermath of recent tragedies in California. “Now we have been through these horrible fires and our spirits are down, but we are resilient. We will help each other and we will rebuild. Love to everyone across the nation who has come to our aid.”
Beyond the Ambassadorships, musician Kid Rock, another high-profile Trump supporter, made his own announcement on Thursday.
He revealed plans for an upcoming arena tour celebrating Trump’s victory. The singer invited loyal fans while discouraging attendees aligned with progressive ideologies that “believe in woke, DEI bulls***.”

“After so many years of taking s**t and being sh*t on by the powers that be, the left-wing media, I think a celebration with the fans isn’t only in order, it’s overdue,” Kid Rock stated in a Facebook video.
“You know I still believe that now’s not the time to gloat, it’s definitely time to try to unite this country.”
The rocker also addressed his views on hotly debated cultural issues, noting, “But if you still believe that men should be in women’s sports or women’s bathrooms are good things,” he listed.
“If you believe in cancel culture, and still believe in political correctness, or if you still believe in all this woke, DEI bulls***, you should probably sit these shows out,” the “Born Free” singer noted. “You’re probably not going to have too good of a time.”
Kid Rock will also take the stage during Trump’s pre-inaugural rally, joined by country music star Billy Ray Cyrus and iconic performers The Village People.
