Spotify podcasterJoe Rogan has made it clear that he has no plans to visit Canada, due to the country’s “terrible government.”
During an episode of “The Joe Rogan Experience,” the titular host and his guests—professional martial artists Brendan Schaub, Eddie Bravo, and Gordon Ryan—were watching a UFC event live when the discussion turned to international politics.
The group touched on relations between the United States and other countries, including France and Canada, noting what they viewed as Canada’s descent into far-left governance.
“I think it’s stupid that we hate Canada, too, I don’t get that,” Rogan said during the conversation.
Joke Rogan has gone down one too many rabbit holes. He’s so convinced Canada is the bad guy and Russia is the good guy. Lol
We’re happy not to host you, Joe.

Schaub responded bluntly, stating, “Canada needs to get their s**t together, though.”
While Rogan voiced his admiration for the Canadian people, praising them for their politeness and kindness, he was far less complimentary about their government.
“They have terrible government,” he remarked, pointing out that newly appointed Prime Minister Mark Carney is simply a continuation of former Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s left-wing leadership.
The topic of Canada resurfaced later in the podcast when Rogan asked about UFC welterweight champion Belal Muhammad’s next title defense.
When his producer revealed that it would take place at UFC 315 in May at the Bell Centre in Montreal, Rogan did not hesitate to outright reject the possibility of attending.
“Wow … I won’t be there. I don’t go to Canada anymore,” Rogan revealed. “I don’t.”
Schaub backed him up, responding, “Nor should you.”
Doubling down, Rogan explained his firm stance: “Discipline. I’d rather go to Russia,” he joked.
At another point, Rogan claimed to have discussed Canada with President Donald Trump, whose inauguration he attended in January.
According to the podcaster, Trump humorously referred to Trudeau as “Governor Trudeau” and hinted at the idea that some believed Canada could be integrated into the United States.
“I had a conversation with Trump about it. He goes, ‘I started calling him Governor Trudeau just for fun, and a lot of people were saying it’s a good idea, like maybe it is a good idea, a lot of people say it,’” Rogan recalled.
Despite his lighthearted retelling of the conversation, Rogan has consistently rejected the idea that Canada should become America’s 51st state.
In a previous discussion, he complained about the tension between the U.S. and Canada, labeling it “ridiculous.”
“Why are we upset at Canada? This is stupid, this over tariffs. We got to become friends with Canada again, this is so ridiculous,” he said.
“I can’t believe there is anti-American, anti-Canadian sentiment going on. It’s the dumbest f****** feud,” Rogan continued.
“I just want America and Canada to get along, I think it’s ridiculous,” he added. “And I don’t think they should be our 51st state.”
Rogan did, however, entertain the possibility of Greenland becoming a U.S. territory, an idea once floated by President Trump.
Meanwhile, Carney, has continued his liberal predecessor’s adversarial stance toward Trump, using sharply criticizing the president over ongoing trade disputes.
Addressing Liberal Party supporters, Carney accused Trump of deliberately harming Canada’s economy.
Canadian Prime Minister, Mark Carney:
“President Trump claims that Canada isn’t a real country. He wants to break us so America can own us. We will not let that happen. We’re over the shock of the betrayal; but we should never forget the lessons.” pic.twitter.com/aQTeVw1Mh8

“Donald Trump, as we know, has put unjustified tariffs on what we build, on what we sell, on how we make a living,” Carney said.
“He’s attacking Canadian workers, families, and businesses. We cannot let him succeed. And we won’t.”
Trump, for his part, has not shied away from taking action against Canada.
He imposed a 25 percent tariff on all Canadian imports, stating that it was necessary to ensure that Canada remained accountable in stopping illegal immigration and preventing the influx of dangerous substances like fentanyl into the U.S.
A statement from the White House reinforced this position, explaining that the administration’s policies were aimed at holding Canada responsible for controlling the flow of illegal drugs and migrants across its borders.
Security at the U.S.-Canada border has also become a growing concern.
FBI Director Kash Patel recently testified before the House Intelligence Committee, warning that adversaries like China, Russia, and Iran are increasingly targeting the northern border as the southern border has become more secure under Trump’s leadership.
BREAKING: Kash Patel, who sued a blogger for calling him a “chud,” says more “terrorists” are coming in from Canada than Mexico, except for the cartels who are partnered with the communists in China—who we have to “take head-on… and go after the fight there.”

“The enemy adapts,” Patel told lawmakers, suggesting that while illegal activity at the southern border has not ceased entirely, efforts to strengthen security there have made it more difficult for criminals and terrorists to enter.
Trump’s border security policies have already shown significant results, with Customs and Border Protection (CBP) encounters dropping by 90 percent in most sectors compared to the previous year.
During a different episode, Rogan also recently criticized Minnesota Governor Tim Walz for his claim that his “masculinity” is a source of fear among conservatives.
Speaking on California Governor Gavin Newsom’s podcast, Walz claimed that Republicans constantly attack him because he is an intimidating figure to them.
“I think I scare them a little bit, [which is] why they spend so much time on me,” Walz said, prompting laughter from Newsom.
“No, I’m serious, because I can fix a truck, they know I’m not bulls***ing on this,” Walz added.
Rogan ridiculed the claim, questioning why conservatives would feel threatened by Walz’s mechanical skills.
“They’re scared of him because he could fix a truck?” Rogan said, incredulous.
He sarcastically mimicked Walz, saying, “‘I know how to fix a truck. Do you? I bet you don’t! I bet if I bring a broken truck to you, and a bag of tools, you’re f***ed!’”
Podcaster Chris Williamson joined in the mockery, suggesting that Democrats were attempting to position Walz as a symbol of masculinity.
“Yeah, it’s so crazy,” Rogan agreed. “I think they’re lost. I mean, they’re also lost in that they can’t control the narrative anymore.”
Rogan went on to discuss the Democratic Party’s ongoing struggle to connect with young men, pointing out that traditional masculine interests have been unfairly labeled as politically conservative.
“Anything masculine is ‘right-wing,’ anything—you cannot be masculine,” Rogan said. “Like, you cannot be interested in physical fitness, anything—”
Williamson sarcastically added, “It’s a pipeline to being right-wing.”
“Yes! You can’t like fast cars. You’re not even allowed to like Teslas anymore, which are the fastest cars,” Rogan joked, mimicking liberal outrage. “‘You’re a misogynist, you’re probably racist, maybe a Nazi.’”
