Phil Mickelson did not hold back when weighing in on the fallout surrounding the assassination of conservative commentator Charlie Kirk.
The LIV Golf star used his social media platform to praise Erika Kirk’s moving remarks at her husband’s memorial while simultaneously blasting Reps. Ilhan Omar and Jasmine Crockett.
Mickelson said Erika’s display of courage was an example for the nation.
“Amazing strength, and amazing grace,” Mickelson wrote on X, in response to Erika’s speech at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona.

Less than two weeks after losing her husband, she addressed more than 70,000 mourners in attendance.
Mickelson was particularly struck by Erika’s decision to forgive her husband’s alleged killer, even as Democratic lawmakers were pushing narratives he viewed as hateful.
“While (Ilhan) and Jasmine are speaking hateful rhetoric, Erika Kirk is saying this. I have no words. Amazing,” he added.

His remarks came as he renewed calls for Omar’s deportation. Mickelson accused the Minnesota Democrat of entering the United States fraudulently and argued she should be sent back to Somalia.
“Ilhan spews hate every time she opens her mouth, she came here fraudulently and will hopefully be sent back to Somalia soon,” Mickelson declared.

His anger followed Omar’s controversial comments about Kirk’s legacy. She said the 31-year-old conservative should be left “in the dustbin of history” and compared him to “Dr. Frankenstein.”
Omar has long been a target of President Donald Trump’s criticism. The president echoed Mickelson’s concerns in past posts, writing that Somalia is plagued by corruption, violence, poverty, hunger, terrorism, and dysfunction.
“Somalia is consistently ranked among the World’s Most Corrupt Countries, including Bribery, Embezzlement, and a Dysfunctional Government. All of this, and Ilhan Omar tells us how to run America!” Trump posted.
POTUS: "…Ilhan Omar tells us how to run America! P.S. Wasn’t she the one that married her brother in order to gain Citizenship??? What SCUM we have in our Country, telling us what to do, and how to do it. Thank you for your attention to this matter…" pic.twitter.com/AIBdma7k6r

Trump also reminded his followers of longstanding allegations surrounding Omar’s marriages.
“Wasn’t she the one that married her brother in order to gain Citizenship??? What SCUM we have in our Country, telling us what to do, and how to do it,” Trump wrote. “MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”
Omar has faced accusations regarding her 2009 marriage to Ahmed Nur Said Elmi, amid claims they were siblings.

She has denied the allegations, and multiple investigations have not proven the charge.
Omar has three children with another husband, Ahmed Abdisalan Hirsi, and is now married to political consultant Tim Mynett.
Despite the controversies, Omar has doubled down on her comments about Kirk.
On CNN, she argued that his words should not be honored. “I am not going to sit here and be judged for not wanting to honor any legacy this man has left behind,” she said.
“That should be in the dustbin of history, and we should hopefully move on and forget the hate that he spewed every single day.”
Rep. Jasmine Crockett also drew attention when she claimed Kirk’s rhetoric targeted people of color.
“The rhetoric that Charlie Kirk continuously put out there was rhetoric that specifically targeted people of color,” she said.

Crockett criticized the resolution to honor him, noting that most no votes came from lawmakers of color.
“It is unfortunate that even our colleagues could not see how harmful his rhetoric was,” she continued.
While Omar and Crockett leveled criticisms, Erika Kirk struck a starkly different tone.
Standing before the massive crowd, she delivered a message of forgiveness, faith, and hope.
“Charlie passionately wanted to reach and save the lost boys of the West,” she said.

“The young men who feel like they have no direction, no purpose, no faith, and no reason to live.”
She described how her husband worked to give young men a place at Turning Point USA, offering them purpose and direction.
Erika stunned the crowd when she openly forgave her husband’s suspected assassin.
ERIKA KIRK FULL SPEECH
If you haven’t yet heard @MrsErikaKirk’s phenomenal speech from today, I urge you to stop what you’re doing and listen. Without exaggeration, it was the most inspirational and powerful address I’ve heard in a long time — exactly what the American people… pic.twitter.com/ft9FVNrHoj

“That man, that young man, I forgive him. I forgive him because it was what Christ did, and is what Charlie would do,” she stated.
“The answer to hate is not hate. The answer we know, from the Gospel, is love and always love.”
President Trump also addressed mourners with a powerful tribute, framing Kirk’s death as an attack on the nation itself.

“Every single American should take a long, hard look at the twisted soul and dark spirit of anyone who would want to kill a young man as good as Charlie,” Trump said.
“Charlie’s murder was not just an attack on one man or one movement — it was an attack on our entire nation.”
He told the crowd that Kirk’s assassination was “an assault on our most sacred liberties and God-given rights.”

Trump declared, “The gun was pointed at him, but the bullet was aimed at all of us. That bullet was aimed at every one of us.”
The president also praised the resilience of Kirk’s message. “Charlie was killed for expressing the ideas that virtually everyone in this arena and most other places throughout our country deeply believed in,” Trump said.
“But the assassin failed in his quest because Charlie’s message has not been silenced. It now is bigger and better and stronger than ever before, and it’s not even close.”
