A small-town bar is getting nationwide attention with a viral promotion that paired free drinks to help with immigration enforcement.
A country-themed bar in Eagle, Idaho called Old State Saloon announced on X that it would give a month of free beer to anyone who, as the bar stated, “helps ICE identify and ultimately deport an illegal from Idaho.”
The message exploded online, gaining more than 5.5 million views in just days of being posted.
The establishment even noted that the reward could extend beyond a single month if someone assisted in multiple deportations.

The saloon urged participants to send what it described as “a detailed email with any evidence, photos, videos, summary of events, dates and times” to its official inbox.
Alongside that instruction, the bar posted several intentionally provocative messages, including “Merry Snitchmas! Snitch on illegals and get a month of free beer!” and “Let’s make deportation fun!!”
The bar also shared what it claimed were incoming tips, directing law enforcement to locations such as a nearby hotel and an apartment complex.
For the month of December it’s “Merry Snitchmas” at Old State Saloon:
Manly American Mondays – all American Citizen males who support ICE get one free beer!
Ladies’ “I’m Telling” Tuesdays – BOGO for American woman willing to tell ICE about any illegals, to get them deported.…

Old State Saloon’s promotion garnered attention from the Department of Homeland Security, which responded with a GIF featuring Earl Sinclair from the 1990s sitcom Dinosaurs dropping his beer in shock. The bar replied, “Love it!”
According to the bar, the same promotion did not fare well on Facebook, where Meta removed the post and flagged several older ones.

In response, Old State Saloon publicized a series of one-star reviews left on its Google Business page and mocked critics by writing, “And the 1 star reviews roll in from the loser LEFT.”
Despite the negative pushback, the bar continued to escalate the campaign, even adding that any “illegal” who wanted to self-deport could receive one complimentary beer before ICE arrived.
To further involve the public, the bar invited users to call in and leave voicemails, telling followers that submitted messages could be played later.
Self Deportation Announcement:
Any illegal who’d like to self deport may have one free beer before ICE responds to Old State Saloon to pick you up.

The saloon summarized the entire offer in a final post that stated, “ALERT: Anyone who helps ICE identify and ultimately deport an illegal from Idaho gets FREE BEER FOR ONE MONTH at Old State Saloon!”
It then added that any self-deporting individual would be allowed one free drink before pickup.
Local reports indicated that at least one individual had already qualified for the offer.

The bar later announced that Ryan Spoon, vice chair of the Ada County Republican Central Committee, had been approved for the deal.
Old State Saloon said Spoon qualified after providing information that allegedly helped ICE arrest Sajid Soto, a worker employed by State Rep. Stephanie Jo Mickelsen at her family’s farm.
Soto had previously been arrested in 2021 for choking his wife in the presence of a child and for methamphetamine possession. ICE detained him again in March 2025.

The promotion sparked a blend of outrage, criticism, humor, and praise online.
One person wrote, “You would have turned in Anne Frank.” Another commenter said, “Time to cancel this place,” prompting the bar to respond, “Good luck.”
A different user asked the saloon to create a leaderboard to recognize a “Deporter of the Year.”
Conservative Gen Z figure Bo Loudon applauded the idea, calling it an “incredible idea” and adding, “This is why I love the United States.”

Others treated the offer as a novelty, with one user saying, “What a freaking fantastic idea.”
Another asked whether a whiskey-related compromise could be arranged, while someone else wondered if the promotion might expand to Texas.
Old State Saloon’s bio on X describes the bar as an establishment that “liberals around the world hate” and identifies itself as the “Birthplace of Heterosexual Awesomeness Month.”
The bar has a history of launching polarizing promotions. In 2024, owner Mark Fitzpatrick held “Heterosexual Awesomeness Month” during June and offered discounts and beer specials exclusively to heterosexual men and women.
The latest promotion arrives as the Trump administration deploys hundreds of ICE agents into Democratic-led cities.
According to Department of Homeland Security Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin, the administration is “on pace to shatter historic records” because the president’s policies “has jump-started an agency that was vilified and barred from doing its job for the last four years,” she said during a Fox News interview.
National protests against ICE have intensified. On Saturday, hundreds of anti-ICE demonstrators were recorded throwing trash cans and debris at officers near a government facility in New York City. When NYPD units arrived, they found crowds blocking streets and building exits.
Video from the scene showed groups pushing large potted plants in front of ICE vehicles, hurling trash at officers, and shouting profanities.

Some protesters threw recycling bins and used barricades to obstruct the officers’ movement.
Police reported that the demonstrators ignored repeated orders to leave. Multiple arrests were made, though an exact number has not yet been released.
A Department of Homeland Security spokesperson said, “Following social media posts calling agitators to ICE’s location in New York City, individuals dressed in black clothing with backpacks, face masks, and goggles showed up and began to obstruct federal law enforcement officers including by blocking the parking garage.”
The spokesperson added that the agency was “grateful for the NYPD officers that responded to these violent agitators and stopped the lawlessness that ensued.”
